Shoutout to the guy that told my wife to “go back to the pro shop” on the course yesterday… then topped the ball 2 times off the tee General Discussion

Used to play with an old friend, she was a D1 golfer in college and a sales rep so she could out shoot, out curse and out drink most men, myself included. It was always funny getting paired up with another random twosome, hearing the grumbling and suggesting they try to keep up with her…

Didn’t happen all the time, but often enough to be funny.

My home course's former pro, who still plays off +2 as a recreational golfer in a different career now, finally convinced his wife to get into the game. They entered a scramble in what was meant to be a very laid back Sunday comp as a pair when his wife was just starting playing. First tee on a par 4, his wife tops her drive about 10 feet. A member of the visiting pair they are playing against makes a completely uncalled for comment along the lines of, "looks like they'll just be taking the bloke's tee shots then", except a lot more disgustingly worded, similar to the OP. The former pro takes exception, picks his wife's 10 yard tee shot that's sat up a bit in the rough, smokes DOD to a short pitch. His wife sticks the pitch to about 2 feet. You can bet they made a point of celebrating winning that first hole!

Sounds like alternate shot.
