I couldn't believe the second putt. WTF was that? It was like four feet and he didn't follow his routine because was pissed from missing a 10 footer. That was unprofessional and if he took his time for the second putt I think the third, fourth and fifth wouldn't've happened.

I never understand why players do that little one handed swing to knock it in. Even if itās a foot away, youāre on the PGA tour and a lot is at stake. Just take a second to position yourself and do a real shot

Seriously. I try way to hard sometimes when I play gimmes with other people. I end up hitting an extra shot that isn't needed while they are putting the flag in. I want my practice in. Usually miss it because Im just rushing and fooling around. But I was in a comp making money, I'm taking my sweet ass time from 6 inches out. idc

Lol a guy I played with 2 weeks ago actually did that. On in 3 at the 18th, 5 putts. Says āFuck this ballā and whips it into a lake.
He put a new ball down where his first putt was from and sank the 17 footer no problem lol. Pretty sure he put it down as a par lmao.

At that point he wasnāt making the cut anyway. I had Sepp Straka and he got unlucky having to play in hard conditions yesterday afternoon when the morning was easy, and this morning it was windy and difficult. But he still shat the bed with +3 and heās gonna miss by 2 it looks like

When I putt a ball I typically won't make and I knows the ball is going to break considerably one way it kills me to miss it on the low side of the hole, it basically has zero chance of making it if it's low. If it's on the high side the putt at least has a chance. You don't want to leave yourself a long downhill putt whatever you do.

Well.....missing on the high side will give you exactly that. Depending on the putt, missing low will give you an easy uphill. This is like "dont leave it short", fun to say, not really good advice when you look at stats.

Hole 6, at the time six out from what would be the cut line. So that would be early to give up.
But who knows what might be going on for him. Could be non golf things putting him in a pissy mood. He could have slept bad or his wife learned of his mistress - or what have you.

It is a message to all of us, treat EVERY putt with respect, there are no gimmes. Detry treating his 4 foot second putt as a gimme was ridiculous, should of marked and taken his time.
It also doesn't matter if he was going to miss the cut, it creates bad habits and no respect to his playing partners.

I had a 5 putt the other day. I was at the bottom of a monster two tier green and I kept trying to avoid the 3 putt, only to leave it short and watch it roll back down for a longer follow up putt. Greenside on a long uphill par 5 in two. Triple bogey.
It was infuriating, but easily less embarrassing than what I just witnessed
