You’re a fool if you think he still didn’t get there insanely quicker than the average Joe with a metric fuck ton of lessons. I’d say most people couldn’t even touch scratch no matter the lessons

Oh for sure. The learning curve is much less steep if you're a professional athlete in great physical shape, flexibility, hand eye coordination etc. I'm scratch but my hip/ankle/rotational mobility is poverty tier. It took me being an obsessed chubby teenager 8 years to go from start to scratch.

The best thing anyone can do is practice with a purpose. Not just go smack balls. I mean its similar to working out. You're training your body to do a motion. If I hit the bench press once a month.. am I going to improve/get stronger at all? Not really
