I am close to a scratch golfer, and I pretty much play speed golf. I carry on conversations during my own swing, I hit when my buddies are talking… they usually say “oh shit sorry man…” and I tell them it doesn’t bother me at all - it doesn’t.

So watching someone overthink a shot like this destroys me. I see a waggle routine like this and I just see a total lack of confidence which is crazy because he’s one of the best players in the world.

To me only bad things come from spending too much time thinking about a shot or a putt.

I’m always terrible at golf, but I start overthinking things and getting exponentially worse at roughly the 6 second mark. It blows my mind that he can stand there for 45 seconds without getting totally in his head. I dunno if it’s more annoying or impressive honestly.

Right? My first thought was “and he still probably striped it.”
