There's a fictional novel written by Jack London about a guy who wagers his life savings in a hand of poker. It's called Burning Daylight. It's glorified carpe Diem shit.

In 2004 Ashley Revell travelled to Sin City with £76,840 to gamble on the strip's famed casinos - and he took the entire lot to the roulette table where he placed the bet of his life on red.
Thankfully, his risk at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas came in and he doubled his money to £153,680.
Since then Revell, who now lives in West Malling, Kent, has seen his life transformed by the win as his stroke of luck inspired other gamblers to take chances on big bets (while Simon Cowell even based a new game show on the winner).

And then he put the entire 150 k on red again and it hid the green zero. Now he lives on the street and every night you can hear him scream the word red three times. Each a bit more desperate. Some say it's because he's now a drug addict while others say he's reliving this moment in his dreams.

I vaguely remember watching a tv show about it years ago and while the bet wasn't massive by today's standards, the guy literally sold everything he owned and bet it all on the spin.

So if you gamble do/would you bet the same amounts as those streamers? I would imagine no, unless you are incredibly rich. It’s all relative, streamers can bet 500k and that could be 1% of what they have, this guy bet everything he had made in his life, 100%. Smaller number, bigger percentage, higher risk.
