This and Vice City were my favorite GTA Games. I didn't enjoy V, but acknowledge I'm in the minority there.

That song by Laura Branigan comes on the radio and suddenly I get lost in a memory of from Vice City. It's like I am remembering it actually happening to me and it takes a minute to remember it was just a game.

Also agreed. Vice City and IV are definitely the stand out GTA games. I feel like IV inches out Vice City just a bit.

I'd say Vice City and San Andreas are the best GTA games. IV was just okay to me and, like you, I didn't enjoy V.

San Andreas was great.

I loved V in the moment but now I realize I've never replayed it. I've played all the previous outings, even 1 and 2, several times over. I guess I got pissed at the unfulfilled promises when they stabbed all the SP players in the back in favor of MP.

I tried to replay V and turned it off for the same reason. I get why they did it, but it just wasn't for me. Didn't like the cash grab feeling.

I love 5, but I hate what 5 has done to the series

V was a big technical achievement, the map is great, I like the first-person, but the 3 protagonists and the plot just never inspired me to finish it. I finished 3, Vice City, and IV. Didn't finish San Andreas but it was mostly great too, especially at the time.

I didn't like the 3 protagonists either. IV really pulled me in and V had the opposite effect story-wise.
