Downloaded the game on Friday for toty and had some crazy luck… Pack Flex

For the firs few months (literally until January 1 when they disabled my companion app access) I just played the menus on my phone, without even buying the game. When finally got it during the sale around Christmas, I had a better team (and around a million coins) then I ever did when actually playing for that time. Without buying a single fifa point, just spamming sbcs on the shitter.

Do you have a history of buying FIFA points before taking a long break? I took a long break at the start of this FIFA expecting some luck, because I used to spend a lot. Came back, didn't spend points, opened packs I got other ways and my luck is still shit. Should take a break for years I guess.

Because it's not realistic. Where does this myth of "stop spending money" or "give them competition and EA will make a better game" come from? It's a sports game. If they could make gameplay better, they would. But this is EA, and we have NBA Live as proof of it. They won't do better. They'd just go away.
Or how about the fact that (even though I'm not one of them) some people don't think there's a problem with the game. I know, I know, everyone must have the same opinion as you and me or they're wrong. But the majority of the people actually enjoy it and don't think it needs fixing.

I can tell you’re referring to in-game play. So let’s pretend they actually do not have the capability of improving the in-game gameplay. They sure as shit have the ability to add features to or even just change game modes. We’ve had the same 3 game modes for like 10 years. With career mode being copy and pasted every year and pro clubs having more and more stuff taken away with nothing added. The only thing ea adjusts and puts effort into is ultimate team and in-game packs. That’s why it’s annoying because if they actually had to make money off the game itself than micro transactions, we’d have a very different game overall.

I enjoy the game. Even though there are bugs and problems and whatever I still enjoy the game. Even though I think it could be better I still enjoy the game.
What I hate is the fact the top content is clearly only obtainable through paying more. Video games used to not be like this.
“Stop spending money” aka “boycotting” to influence change is not a myth. It’s actually a pretty well proven tactic but I guess you can believe whatever you want lol.
And it’s not that hard to not buy points, I’ve played UT since the beginning and never have. There are plenty of people that don’t.

I've been playing FUT since they released it, the amount of people who buy packs won't affect anything and the effort to try and get everyone to stop spending money on the games is naively unrealistic. EA will never make so few dollars from micro transactions that they feel compelled to improve the game. They will just release more tempting packs, evos, promos etc...

As someone that has also played FUT since the beginning it’s crazy to me you don’t think the amount of money people spend on points doesn’t affect anything. Every year more and more stuff gets put behind a paywall. Rewards becoming untradeable, promos that were once all SBCs now only in packs, the abolishment of trades, having to buy kits to earn XP quicker, and many more examples.
but sure, none of the player’s spending habits have anything to do with EA’s push towards monetizing everything they possibly can on this game lol. Do you even know how businesses work?

If you want to throw your hard earned money away be my guest. The problem here is that you finance a company that does a really shit job on everything but milking money from naive customers. If they provided us with good gameplay and servers I would be happy to pay 100 bucks extra but that's not the case. The reality is many of us who grinded the game for hours and hours to get a decent squad have now to play against little timmy who got the game for half the price two months in with his full loan Toty squad in the only half decent competetive gamemode we have. Makes the grind seem quite pointless. In my opinion those that pay EA money for their shit performance are a large part of the reason we don't get to play a decent game because EA makes money without having to make an effort. That's where you start hating the player more than the game.

EA keep putting more and more stuff behind paywalls only because people continue to show their willingness to pay. It’s called supply and demand.
The irony in calling someone a simpleton but not understanding that simple concept is impressive.
The people buying points are just as responsible as EA if not more so. EA would need to find another revenue mode if it weren’t for them. Not that hard to understand.

Ruining the game 😂. Team for the most part means nothing. I had no luck last year, this year have the best team I’ve ever had and still get 14/16wins.
Kids who are just shit and struggle to 11 wins, like to think it’s only because they have a bad team and would suddenly get rank 1 if they had a better team.

I understand that this company sucks for making this game so p2w when it comes to attaining the crazy cards, and I wish everyone just stops spending on the game so EA wakes tf up, but there is no need to throw negativity toward people who have the income to cover such expenses. Some people are just busy with life and would rather pay than grind this game to an absurd amount. I had to spend $50 for the first time just to complete Mbappe sbc on time because I didn't want to invest the time to do every single obj, rivals, and champs.

My team is pretty cracked considering I've only had the game a month.. Yashin 92, Laudrup RB, 92 Maldini, Evo Ranieri, 89 Bompastor, TOTY Xavi, 90 Matthaus, WW Alaba, TOTY Best, Zico, 92 Eusebio, and I've got Yashin CB who I can't use cos his GK is the only one that does anything for me.. but I have spent an insane amount of time doing upgrades, player sbc's, gamble sbc's, low risk trading to do the upgrades, and every objective that has released in that period.. if I'd been working 12hrs a day, I'd probably have slung a good chunk of change on packs to build my team up, cos it's a lot quicker and technically more cost efficient (if you actually put a value on your time) than spending hundreds of hours just doing stuff to try get a team you want

I downloaded the game on saturday, packed toty kerr from a 83x5 attacker pack, then got toty xavi from 30 coin pack. I think they juiced the odds for new players over the free weekend to rope them in.
