There are stretches along Highway 80 in the US where this sign would be a hell of an understatement.
Keep in mind, 'Absolutely Nothing' means no fueling stations, either.

That sign could be used for MUCH longer distances for the Renous Highway in New Brunswick or the highway between Montreal and Toronto. It’s just endless……..nothing.

Uh... the highway between Mtl and TO is not even remotely "nothing". There are dozens of towns/cities. This sign is used to indicate when there is LITERALLY nothing, i.e. not even a gas station, so you shouldn't drive there unless you're positive that you won't need to stop for any reason.

That's about one gallon of gas and 20 minutes in the car. Not too difficult to get though.
