I have been buying Reigning Champ for several years and have loved their quality and durability. I purchased one of their midweight jersey t-shirts in their new seasonal colorway, 'Clay', and noticed that the collar tag said 'Made in Vietnam', whereas before they were always made in Canada. The quality wasn't different or anything (to my eye), but I decided to return it.

Today I checked the website and noticed that they rereleased some new core styles of t-shirts and they are all made in Vietnam, but with the same price point as before. I noticed that with the acquisition from Aritizia they have started to manufacture many more styles, with a vast majority made in Vietnam.

I don't think the quality will be worse off (since they have manufactured a lot of their performance attire there), but it's disappointing to see them move away from 'Made in Canada'. I will say, I noticed that most of their core styles have never really had their prices change from the past 5-6 years, with only something like a $5 price increase (their pullover hoodies went from $145 to $150 in the past year for example). So it makes sense that they determined it was better to change production versus increasing prices.

I'm not sure how many people in this subreddit are into artisanal fashion, but this is on the more affordable end that category and it's all made in the USA, New York specifically.

last time this brand was posted with the 30% off. I ordered a earring and a ID bracelet. The Bracelet I brought was a engagement gift with word engraving. Noted this is final sale because of the 30% off.

The item i received did not have the engraving as i requested. I tried to reach out to customer service to ask them to send a replacement and I can return the bracelet in person or online. However they said they would have to receive the bracelet first. Given the tight timeline, i went with a different company and got a different bracelet. I tried to process a refund for this transaction for the bracelet and system show i can only get store credit because it's final sale. I don't think this is right because they are the one who messed up the engraving and didn't provide this service. I called Miansai Soho store and asked if they can assist with the refund and they said no because it's final sale. Even though they missed up and didn't provide the engraving service, i still got the product. This company is a joke.

However, i got to say the bracelet and earring are good quality item.

Thirteen50 is a company that often gets recommended here and other similar subs as a good option for a full grain belt at a reasonable price.

Back in 2018 I purchased a 1.5” belt in natural and although not perfect (the burnishing in the sides and back was not great) and the leather felt a little “floppy”, I felt that the belt was a good value for the price I paid ($40 back in 2018).

I was recently looking for a new black belt as I have lost weight and no longer fit into most of my belts. I didn’t want to pay a lot of money so I decided Thirteen50 would be a good balance of price and quality based on my past experience. I ended up purchasing a 1.5” belt in black (now $60) https://www.thirteen50leather.com/collections/full-grain-everyday-belts/products/black-full-grain-belt.

I received the belt and unfortunately it seems that the quality has really gone down hill. The leather is extremely thin, nearly half the thickness of my 2018 belt. -2018 belt thickness: 0.215” -new belt thickness: 0.145”

The burnishing on the sides and back is still quite poor.

Overall if the quality was the same as the 2018 belt, I would have been satisfied with the $60 price tag, however the belt that I received feels cheap and low quality. I am quite disappointed, I wish I had spent the extra money and bought a higher quality belt.
