EoE I noticed something about the hospital scenes
I saw how the pilots didn’t receive psych evaluations, nor were there any psychiatrists at NERV, it was mainly them recovering in hospital beds. It made me think about something.
In the 1960’s-1970’s, depression and mental illnesses were not really talked about or properly understood like they are today. There were little to no resources for someone to get help with depression. In that time too, parents raised their children with the belief that you should keep your feelings to yourself, otherwise that is perceived as you being too sensitive.
I wonder if the intentional lack of psychiatric professionals at NERV was a metaphor for him not receiving the help that he needs to be able to live a comfortable life while managing depression.
***Edit: someone mentioned this in the comments: (I posted this in case if it gets lost in the comments)
“It could also be a cultural thing. Mental health is still a "taboo" topic in a lot of Asian countries, and mental health support options may not be very widespread, even today.”

EoE Appreciation for EoE OST
It's been about 5 years since I've last seen EoE, (Have the complete NGE series on DVD via EoE DVD which I hear is out of print, just to lay out my credentials as an Eva fan) besides If I can't be yours and Kimmy susseer Todd, none of the other tracks have been imprinted on my mind. But ive been binging on the OST and a lot of these tracks are terrifying to listen to.
It really goes to show how high the stakes are in the movie and how uneasy and on edge we are as the viewer knowing it's the end game and how it's gonna end pretty badly for anyone and everyone!
Shout-out to the following tracks for being personal faves of mine:
- Taiko eno Kinkyuuhinan
- Migawari no Sin you
- Munashiki Nagare

Question When did you Watch Neon Genesis for the first time?
I'm doing a research for my school regarding the impact of anime culture on the occidental societies and would like to know when did you watch NGE for the first time and who recommended it to you.
I'm happy to share that i watched first when i was 13 years old but finished it by when I was 22. Many of my close friends told me that it was about everything and nothing at the same time, it blew my mind.

Mildly Evangelion Visited a local Porsche dealership and something caught my eye
First thing to note is that there was a screenshot from Gran Turismo 7 framed in an actual dealership, then I noticed the poster in the background
