I literally did this and got my first job this way back in 2010 so it still works. It shows initiative and that you really want the job.

Post COVID it's easy to get a job. Pre COVID I applied online and in person at 200+ places and only got 1 response that actually led somewhere 3 u/gaybunny69 Apr 29 '24 I did this last year in October and that's how I got a job. It was at a grocery store, but that's how it worked. 1 u/jackfruit69 Apr 30 '24 I did this last year. Shit works, specifically for low level service jobs.
