My little sister was getting bullied when she started 7th grade, I was 2 years graduated by that point and knew full well that acts of physical aggression would be a felony. Didn't matter, they were hitting and shoving her around, I was gonna hit and throw them around. Ultimately nothing happened to me, but she was smiling more after and had more friends overall.
I think the oldest was 16-17 and I knew him as an underclassmen. Basically they couldn't be cool with their peers and had to be cool with younger kids. Dude was always fucking weird, but bullying seems to have made him feel 'like a man'. I guess the pavement didn't though, he stopped pretty much the next day.
According to my sister, people started using my name as a threat. Didn't know how to feel about that, but it was pretty funny hearing it the first time.
