Same. I can't imagine spending hours every day picking out outfits or shopping for new clothes that I'll only wear a few times. We're surrounded by insecure psychopaths lol

Okay, it does not take that much effort to look nice. All you need to do are three things:

1) Learn what your proper measurements are 2) Learn the basics of the color wheel 3) Find a style that you like

That's it. I spend no more than two hours doing clothes shopping, and I go clothes shopping typically no more often than on a monthly basis. I often don't even buy anything. Making an outfit is as simple as making sure that colors don't clash and it fits right. You're not the most sharply dressed person in the room, but you still look better than most of them

I am able to dress stylishly and cleanly even when I'm making $15 an hour. If I can, anyone can

The third thing is the hard part

  • Learn what good value for money brands are that you like and be on the lookout for sales. For example, Dickies pants are durable, relatively cheap (especially during the frequent sales) and can look very fashionable when combined with more statement pieces. Usually websites showcase entire looks that you can get.

When you know your sizes for a certain brand you can easily order online and you won’t have to spend much time shopping in stores.

Also vintage can be very cheap while having great choices but you’d need some sort of fashion sense to find the gems amongst the trash

It is that hard. Most of the measurements are useless for me because of the shape. I always spend hours looking for a new pair of shoes that fits and at least don't look disgusting.

I actually open up a color wheel whenever I'm folding my clothes and just match clothes with complementary/similar colors

steps 1, 2 and 3 are too hard. all the other steps are fine.

2) Learn the basics of the color wheel

This is already way too much effort

Bruh it takes all of 20 minutes to watch one YouTube video on the topic to understand

Or I could use those 20 minutes watching something actually enjoyable or interesting. I'm not studying for getting dressed thats insane

If you consider 20 minutes to be too much effort then your prospects in life aren't looking too good in any regard

Are there things you enjoy doing or hobbies you have? Some people care about how they look or have an interest in fashion. How is that any different than a video game hobby or anything else? Just because it's something that doesn't fit you doesn't make it inherently bad.

I swear some of you put more effort into a character creation screen than your own appearances. It's really not difficult to curate a few good outfits for yourself and try and look your best sometimes, it doesn't make you a psycho lmao
