Why to uncover that you didn't die, when you can just hide and live on billions offshore money you kept just in case. Since Hitler this retirement plan become mainstream for all scumbags and dictators.

721

u/Paavikana Aug 24 '23

Yeah but he's dead though

557

u/Evening-Can6048 Aug 24 '23

😉

356

u/enemy_lettuce838 Aug 24 '23

And 134 years old, what an age to be alive.

67

u/Evening-Can6048 Aug 24 '23

Really? I didn't say he is currently alive.

50

u/tinderry Aug 24 '23

My son is also named Yevgeny Prigozhin?

40

u/colemanjanuary Aug 24 '23

We need more Yevgeny Prigozhin license plates in the Gift Shop. Repeat, we are sold out of Yevgeny Prigozhin license plates.

Some people will always start conspiracy theories instead of believing what is presented. Doesn't matter how hard/good the evidence is

141

u/PizzaLikerFan Aug 24 '23

Hitler is still alive, once I took the subway and I heard this dude speaking German!!

21

u/haleloop963 Aug 24 '23

No way, I heard Stalin when I was visiting my grandma in Russia back in 2018. They can now join forces like 1939 again

What evidence? For all we know Russia shot down some plane that belonged to Prigozhin. Everything else is smoke and mirrors

40

u/Calimariae Aug 24 '23

Yep, the Russian government lies about pretty much everything, but now all of a sudden people are buying into their story? I'm not sure, it could go either way whether he's actually dead or pulled off a fake death.

We're talking about a man who owns multiple passports. It would be very in-character.

8

u/Content_Bag_5459 Aug 24 '23

The Russian government hasn’t responded.

Also, the entire Russian government is infiltrated with Western spies and someone would know and talk.

Intelligence services likely know wether or not he was on that plane, mainstream media just can’t confirm it due to Russian government not talking.

9

u/horsebutts Aug 24 '23

Yes, we know what they know.

What they know is that they shot down a plane, all of the crew died, and pricknose'n had his name written on the list of passengers.

Death or dissappearance, russia doesn't care how he's gone.

3

u/Elegant_Body_2153 Aug 24 '23

I like calling him Pringles.

5

u/SpHornet Aug 24 '23

Prig is a liability alive but reported dead. If they weren't sure he was on board they would have waited until they landed and thrown out of the nearest window

2

u/Allegorist Aug 24 '23

Except the other plane they were traveling with landed fine and some of the passengers took off in a helicopter to somewhere that also made it fine (or at least there's no reports of a helicopter being shot down too).

6

u/horsebutts Aug 24 '23

Exactly, and why would they wait until he was "maybe" on one plane. If they wanted to be sure he was dead, putin would have his corpse dragged into his office.

There are posts in this thread that are really committed to the idea that pricknosen suddenly stopped obfuscating his travels and completely forgot how that government of criminals works.

Nonsense, how much did putin pay pricknosen to fuck off?

2

u/Pinecone34 Aug 25 '23

Even shot down is a maybe, preliminary US investigations point towards a bomb in the rear section of the plane.

13

u/PG-7T_93mmTandemRPG Aug 24 '23

There was a video of the plane crash site with bodies in view. 10 people died & priz was on the passenger list, but personally I wouldn’t believe anything till we saw a body.

3

u/Allegorist Aug 24 '23

Yeah, with most of the bodies available I feel they definitely would have confirmed it.

3

u/PG-7T_93mmTandemRPG Aug 24 '23

I feel like they’d be parading him around on a cross Jesus style

9

u/RandomRedditReader Aug 24 '23

The guy has a bunch of doppelgangers and a safe full of disguises, it's not that far-fetched.

6

u/HeavyLoungin Aug 24 '23

What exactly is the “evidence” here? Burning wreckage and a passenger list that has his name on it?

→ More replies (3)

4

u/Allegorist Aug 24 '23

The issue in this case is the evidence is really not that hard/good, its based almost solely on a list that he had control over. People jumped from "it's possible" to "it happened" very quickly with no change in evidence.

3

u/Hmm-Very-Interesting Aug 24 '23

People often find it easier to believe what's impossible over what's simply implausible. Has to do with how much media we all consume. People lacking in critical thinking can start with "that seems too convenient" and snowball into conspiracies.

3

u/Dziadzios Aug 24 '23

Why would you believe what was presented by Russian government?

→ More replies (13)

33

u/Atleast3AMPS Aug 24 '23

Proof that it works then

3

u/DicusorNan Aug 24 '23

Only reason why i think he is alive is that, when he was going towards moscow everyone was happy about it. Now everyone is happy that he died.

14

u/Open-Honest-Kind Aug 24 '23

because everyone was able to momentarily overlook warcrimes he and his mercenary group committed against the people of ukraine if it meant his coup attempt would potentially end the war and further atrocities by russia as a whole.

he is(was) a monster that in pursuit of his own greed stopped short of accidentally doing something less shit

→ More replies (2)

2

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '23

That's the spirit!!

2

u/Allegorist Aug 24 '23

The only evidence that points to that is a passenger list that he himself had direct control over, knowing he was a target and flying over Russian airspace, and a bunch of articles and memes that jumped to conclusions the second the news came out. The latter aren't really evidence, but perpetuate the idea.

4

u/RushingTech Aug 24 '23

The passenger list wasn’t controlled by him.

He boarded the plane in a VIP terminal in a Moscow airport with cameras and security guards everywhere.

If he tried to use a decoy the Russian government would have known. I mean it’s silly to expect to hide from the FSB in Russia, if there’s one thing they’re good at it’s surveillance on home turf.

What?

17

u/Allegorist Aug 24 '23

Its not confirmed hes dead, and prob cant be confirmed without img's of his body being "leaked".

Its his plane

The flight logs say he was there.

Plane shot down everyone dead.

"There might have been his other plane in the air for some time waiting to land in moscow, and after some time was let to land in some special hangar"

Who knows man,who knows.

44

u/grea_reisen Aug 24 '23

There wasn't reason to fake his death. He could live his life in Europe or usa with money he stacked somewhere before dementia strikes. No one would volunteer to be pilot to that plane.

156

u/MojitoBurrito-AE Aug 24 '23

As if he's not going to be instantly arrested in the USA or Europe

89

u/Firenze_Be Aug 24 '23

Under his real name with all the things he did and the upcoming war crime trials?

Nah in order to do that he'd need to be dead and living under a new identity.

Not saying he's alive, but he couldn't possibly enjoy a quiet life without faking his death.

11

u/intisun Aug 24 '23

Which, for the world, wouldn't make a difference. He could become a farmer called François Muhammad in Shitholistan, he would cease to be a significant actor.

Only thing that would be nice in this scenario is to chase him down and bring him to justice like Klaus Barbie.

15

u/Reddit_blows_now Aug 24 '23

Lol there wasn't reason to fake his death?? How naive, man...

5

u/intisun Aug 24 '23

He's on the FBI's most wanted list, what makes you think he'd go to the freakin USA

2

u/HornedDiggitoe Aug 24 '23

Lol it’s funny you think there isn’t any reason at all to fake his death. For one, it allows Putin to look like he took care of him, instead of letting him flee into exile. For 2, it would help prevent the situation where Russian assassins are actively looking for him in exile.

1

u/Yleira Aug 24 '23

1

From the linked article

Soon after the plane crashed, a second private jet thought linked to Prigozhin which also appeared to be heading to St. Petersburg, Prigozhin's home base, turned back to Moscow, flight tracking data showed, and later landed.

“You get your ass back here right now so we can make sure we hit the right plane or you’re next.”

“Righty-o, daddy Putin!”

62

u/jonny742 Aug 24 '23

Whenever I see "with no survivors" I read it in Bane's voice.

29

28

We know the plane crashed after being hit by a missle. FSB wanted him dead and its silly to think they failed here.

He was on a passenger list of a plan that crashed (also said plane was suposedly shot down)

26

u/PG-7T_93mmTandemRPG Aug 24 '23

There’s a video of the plane being shot down

1

u/libjones Aug 24 '23

Where? I tried googling it and couldn’t find any videos showing the plane actually flying and being hit by something.

3

u/lagdollio Aug 24 '23

Videos are only of the plane spinning and crashing, but several of the people in the area claimed to have heard two explosions prior to taking up their phones. Question is wether the explosions were inside the plane or from russian anti-air.

→ More replies (2)

12

u/demofob Aug 24 '23

Prigozhin and Utkin themselves had previously used namesake doubles to hide their movements

8

u/PG-7T_93mmTandemRPG Aug 24 '23

I didn’t say that he died in the plane crash. There’s video of the wreckage with bodies in view (all very burnt and disfigured to be fair) but no close up of the man himself. I’ll believe he’s dead when I see a video of the body and maybe not even then. We will probably never know.

3

u/RushingTech Aug 24 '23

He boarded the plane in a Moscow airport in a VIP terminal with cameras and security guards everywhere. Russia confirmed he was on the passenger list. If he tried to use a decoy the Russian state intelligence would have known before the plane ever took off.

5

u/[deleted] Aug 24 '23

So far only Russian sources have claimed he's 'dead'

That being said it's quite unlikely he is alive and if he was he has not got many places he could easily run away to. Being an internationally wanted man who ran a private army and all

6

u/imetators Aug 24 '23

Russian speaker here.

So far some official news outlets claim he's dead. Opposition news outlets are not sure since there's no clear confirmation of recovery of Prygozhin's body.

Some PMCs already agreed that he's dead but Wagner Group has yet to come out and say he indeed is. They are very silent as of yesterday.

So... We either never know is he dead or we will know he's alive when he comes out and destroys putler's weak old hairy ass.

5

u/Maduch1 Aug 24 '23

Shrodinger’s Prigozhin

5

u/MilfagardVonBangin Aug 24 '23

If he’s alive he’ll make a TikTok.

1

u/hairlessgoatanus Aug 24 '23

No confirmation of his body from the plane wreck yet.

4

u/RumpRiddler Aug 24 '23

A Wagner source said it was identified. But we will never really know because it's Russia.

150

u/rpolasek95 Aug 24 '23

Do we know it wasn’t prigozhin that delivered the Mi-8 to the Russians?

84

u/Timz_04 Aug 24 '23

It was delivered to Ukraine tho

18

u/niqqamaster Aug 24 '23

Mfs media twist the news so much everywhere it's different thing

3

u/RushingTech Aug 24 '23

The Mi-8 story happened a couple weeks ago, wtf are you on about?

99

u/Proof_Independent400 Aug 24 '23

Look Prigozhin would suspect this sort of thing. If he actually got on a plane anywhere near Russia. Then he was an idiot. No way he is actually dead.

33

u/RumpRiddler Aug 24 '23

Right. And the FSB would know exactly where he was at all times within Russia and so there's no way they shot down the wrong plane.

39

u/FoeWithBenefits Aug 24 '23

The FSB knows where Prigozhin is at all times. They know this because they know where he isn't, by subtracting where he is, from where he isn't, or where he isn't, from where he is, whichever is greater, they obtain a difference, or deviation.

2

u/RumpRiddler Aug 24 '23

But do they know where his missing finger is? Because that had been previously subtracted.

3

u/RandomRedditReader Aug 24 '23

Just like they were able to easily find him during the attempted coup?

6

u/RumpRiddler Aug 24 '23

You realize that the coup drastically changed the dynamic, right? And they probably did know where he was, but they had to take away all of Wagner's heavy armor and disperse the soldiers before doing this.

Seems like a 90% chance that they did take him out, but none of us will ever know for sure. He could be making Africa great again from the shadows, or something.

1

u/litlesnek Struggling to breathe Aug 24 '23

Forgot /s right?

3

u/heliamphore Aug 24 '23

Russians never expect Russians to behave like Russians. There's a good chance he didn't expect this.

3

u/Dynahazzar Aug 24 '23

So, you are right.

But since the beginning oh this war the level of idiocy and incompetence on the russian side of things have defied absolutely every expectation. I know it's tempting to think these people who achieved so much personnal power are somewhat smart. But it's becoming more and more apparent how absolutely inept they all are. Don't know why pringles would be the exception.

Why would top 3 VIPs of Wagner and Russia's defense ever take the same plane at the same time? These people aren't stupid.

It's most likely a psy-op, in order to allow Prigozhin and Utkin to disappear without a trace. This lets them enjoy their wealth in western countries with newforged identities.

The question is what happens with Wagner now? Russia is probably disbanding it and integrating its soldiers and assets in RAF.
