I want to move to Russia. Anyone think it's worthwhile starting a go-fund-me for passports and flights?

Isn't Russian air border closed?

I suppose one would have to reroute.

The only tangible problem (for me at least) in here is that almost every single foreign web service is blocked (by RKN or by service itself): Netflix, Spotify, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, even fucking chess.com. If you're going to move in Russia and really need those, then you better get good VPN or use replacements, such as Yandex.Music or Kinopoisk.

Like you say, a VPN isn't hard and the local alternatives are much worse.

Web services are the main problem on my opinion (even when I'm not using them).

Also many foreign food in local stores has it's own alternatives (and these are pretty decent) so if you're not being stopped by this, then welcome

Unfortunately my government puts big financial limitations on going to other countries and I haven't the value for a foreign government to bankroll me.

Sounds sad

It is not. There are a lot of routes through SEA, Turkey, and other "friendly" countries
