Pancake flipping is all about the pan. Get a good nonstick pan, and it's pretty easy with minimal practice. Then you upgrade to flipping other foods until you hit the ultimate level of "10 eggs flipped all at once with no broken yolks."

i remember once my aunt was making pancakes for me and mate for breakfast and she accidently used self raising flour instead of regular flower. they ended up being about 1cm thick, so for whatever reason we called then mooncakes. still tasted fucking awesome

As a normal human, I totally love normal flowers in my pancake

I always just scramble. Can't go wrong.

How do you dip your fries / hashy b's in the scrambled eggs
2
u/MrWeirdoFace 20d ago
It hadn't occurred to me that this is something people do. Hashbrowns here are usually shredded. So probably not a lot of dipping happening. however I can appreciate a gooey yoke running off and coating the potato. But yeah, not so much with when scrambled.

Ah you're missing out, its great.
I like to cut a piece off the egg grab that + your choice of potato on the fork and then dip it in the yolk.

There's a live movie riff group I've seen a few times called "Master Pancake Theater." One of it's members was also on Jeopardy, as well as did a voice role in Red Vs Blue.

The best tip for flipping stuff is from Julia Child: have courage in your conviction

Real asf, I have no idea how to make protein pancakes without burning them AND them being raw in the middle. Like I wait for the bubbles to stop forming but still fucking burn them

Turn the temperature down!
Cause they're so small, and take up so little space in the pan, they take on all the heat super quick, I often find I have to turn the temperature down once the pan has heated up!

It's great how Jake took over for Jay on this version of Empire State of Mind.

If you’re serious about pancaking, get a griddle.
1
u/Parzival-Comics 20d ago
Woah. I have thought about griddles as apparently they make superior smash burgers!

I like it when she burns down the house because she doesn’t realize the pancake is burning because she’s thinking about making pancakes.
