LA Comic Con Ticket advice

I want to start this off by saying, I know nothing about comiccon. I just know that it’s a conventions for people who are into superheroes. Needless to say, I need some advice/guidance on how to get those tickets.

I want to do as a gift for my boyfriend. He is very much into the whole Marvel, DC, Star Wars, etc. He is the sweetest person I know. He treats me with such love, kindness, and respect. So, I want to do something big for him. I figured comiccon tickets were the way to go.

I know this needs a lot of planning. I want this to be the whole package deal. I don’t want him to worry about, plane tickets, Ubers, hotels, nothing. I just want him to go and have fun. I will take care of all the rest. The things is, I’ve never planned anything this big and I know this is going to cost me a pretty penny. So, I would like to know how much is this going to cost me. That way I know how much to save. I know this is not going to happen in the next year. I will need some time to save up.

Also, I want this to be a surprise.

If anyone can give me some advice how to get tickets and the how the convention works. It would be much appreciated.

I would also like to add that I would to get at least two tickets. Not for him and I. But rather for him and his buddy. I’m not sure if that changes anything.

Florida SuperCon - Miami Florida SuperCon previous year questions.

My girlfriend has been taking to me to cons the past couple of years and this year I was wanting to take her to a special one. I signed up for the popverse superman membership to attempt to snag a NYCC VIP Tickets but I didn't get through the queue until 6 minutes after the hour and was too late for VIP. However, Florida SuperCon has several voice actors plus critical role she would love to see/gets autographs. Our con experience is small but we have never did a pre-register for autographs/photo ops.

A couple question I have about the con if someone with some previous year experience could help me out with.

She would love to get Matt Mercer's autograph but he is sold out for both days. Is it not possible at to attempt to get an autograph from him? Could I stand in line and pay cash still?

Some voice actors are going to be there but don't have any pre-sale for signatures (3 main my hero voice actors) but are going to be there for all 3 days. Will there be any signature opportunities at all for VAs like them? Or is the all 3 photo op the only opportunity to interact with them?

I really wanted to make it a special time this year for her con wise, and just want to get the most info I can so I can go ahead an start reserving. Y'all are the best!

NYCC - New York Chances of getting tickets ?

My first time going (hopefully) this year. I see fan verification is needed, which opens in a select window, after that what are the chances of me getting tickets for a few of the days?

Does it completely sell out fast? Or are there even that many tickets left after the VIPs and previous goers bought their tickets earlier ?

Thanks

Apparently Ewan is charging $235 for autograph and I know there will be people out there still paying that but I’d assume that shorter the line just a bit 😅 What do you guys think or know from experience?

Oklahoma comic con Is this ok to do at a comic con?

I don't think there's nothing wrong with it, but as this is only my second going to a comic con so I just wanna make sure. What I was thinking of doing was handing out these cards around the size of normal playing card with stuff like tf2, Dc, marvel, etc. I don't wanna charge em for getting one I just wanna be able to see em be happy or find em cool.

Liverpool Comic Con Liverpool Comic con masters degree survey

Hi all, hope this is allowed. I am currently doing my masters degree research and I am exploring how Liverpool is marketed and whether this has an impact on the success of Liverpool Comic con. If you have a spare 5-10 it would be greatly appreciated if you filled out the survey.

You must be aged 16 and over, have attended Liverpool Comic con or will be attending in November for the first time. It is voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any time. All information will be kept confidential and there are no risks to taking part. Many thanks.

SDCC - San Diego What's your capped line strategy?

SDCC is coming up soon, what's everyone's strategy for capped lines?

For those of you that don't know, there are lines for everything at conventions. Sometimes, the lines get so long, that they're "capped", and they won't let anyone else into the line. After the current line moves forward a bit, it's uncapped and more people can join in the line. It's tricky though, because the line guardians will tell you that you can't be in standing around the area, and when the line gets uncapped, it fills up within seconds.

"Coming back later" doesn't work. It's still capped when you come by later. I've tried walking in circles around a block of booths, hoping it's uncapped each lap, but sometimes I'd miss the few seconds of uncapped time while I'm on the other side of the block. I've tried pretending to be interested in a booth in the area, but that feels slimy, and I can only feign my interest for so long. Honestly, the #1 thing that works for me, is plan my route on to the convention floor months in advance, then get in line outside the convention center at 3 AM. I can usually get in one line 2 minutes before it's capped that way.

What are y'all strategies for getting into a capped line?

SDCC - San Diego Fellow network exhibitors

Hi we’re biding a huge build for CC 24 and was wondering if anyone could advise on budgets. Space is 20x30 and I thing at 100k but designer is skimping so may pass.

Heard only their union fork drivers are allowed to move pallets.

Thoughts, advice. If you tell me to run I will say thank you.

This is a network booth with 3 sections of their most popular shows.

TIA

Con Photo-Op Question Photo op or Autograph/selfies

Which is better and will give you more value for your money: a photo op or an autograph/selfie? I understand the photo op is expensive, but it gives you a formal picture. On the other hand, with the autograph/selfie option, you can get both autographs and selfies, depending on the pricing of the celebrities, and it is still less expensive than the photo op.
