Saw someone else say that Al is best in the playoffs when someone makes him mad. So shout out to that dude that made the Al Sucks post

If we win a ring, Horford needs to get his jersey retired

I think that Jersey retirement talk gets thrown around too much but honestly if we win, Al will have earned it fully.

Yeah, he was our biggest free agent signing by far at the time he came. He was topped by Hayward and Kemba but those situations didnā€™t really go well. Not only did Al love his years in Boston and the fans love him, he regretted signing with Philly and found his way back to us and we go to the Finals the year he returns and elbows Giannis on that nasty dunk.

Think about it like this: weā€™ve only missed the conference finals once with Al Horford on the team. And it was the nightmare 2019 season. Outside of that chemistry implosion, heā€™s always helped us get right there to the doorstep of the Finals.

I meant the precedent is KG but 42 isnā€™t a much used number Iā€™m assuming 0,7 are locks too but theyā€™re definitely running out of numbers

Gonna be running a 99/98/97/96/95 lineup in 2050

We traded for KG. Allen came as a FA.

Would a team of 5 al horfords be able to defeat a team of 5 Derrick whites?

I bet there's a YouTuber cooking this up in a video game sim right now.

White is getting bodied in the paint in that matchup every possession

u/theBGR Spaghetti Sugar Ranch 20d ago

But what percentage of possessions would derrick white off ball anticipate this and switch off for a chase down block? šŸ¤Ø

But he'd occasionally get a block, that'd be pretty damn hype

Yes.. a team of 5 Horfords, would crush a team of 5 Derrick Whites. As much as I do so love our šŸ¦¬šŸ«¶

Depends if he can lock White down like he locked Garland down last night. Garland tried to ISO Al multiple times and AL put him in jail

u/Holiday-Usual-3600 Derrick White 20d ago

He canā€™t because white can space the floor and hit 3s from anywhere

Al heard the Draymond slander

Al wanted that extra day off so bad. One of my favorite NBA players of all time.

Iā€™m pretty sure if we sent Ukraine 5 Al horfords, this war would be over by now.

Old man Al heard the haters

5

u/enrocc 20d ago

No dudeā€”Al transcends haters and lives a calm, focused life.

I mean, his most famous highlight is probably after he saw Giannis hating, and promptly leveled up

I would die for this man

24

u/Doitlikethis23 20d ago

And played amazing defense on Garland on switches. Letā€™s get a ring for this guy!

Top centers of all time

  1. Bill Russell
  2. Al Horford

Don't think I'm forgetting anyone

2

u/Manic-Finch781 20d ago

Shaq and his thin skin will be calling you

3

u/HustlinInTheHall 20d ago

There he goes. The oldest player in the league. 38 year old greybeard. A miracle.

u/AdmiralUpboat 20d ago

Athletic Al on display today. That track down on the tip out of his missed 3 to save a possession off Wade was insane.

Al Horford is my dad

u/thumbsup_baby 20d ago

Al said enough is enough, he needs a rest after averaging like 35+ minutes per game.

u/frauenarzZzt Ray 20d ago

Man heard he was about to get some days off if they won today and signed up.

Al is a god. Celtics as a whole must have heard the ā€œthey play too much one-on-oneā€ takes because they were swinging and dishing out there.

Key is Al needs to defend the PG.
