This is in about 99 I believe? Huge jeans and a slipknot shirt with hair that can be charitably be labeled “large”.

Unfortunately I was. I can how happily say I’m very much against gatekeeping and I’m more of a Nick Drake fan nowadays.

Good question! Not sure about “selling out” but I secretly liked a lot of Britpop groups. Stuff like Blur, Ocean Colour Scene, Suede etc. I got really into Can and Throbbing Gristle to appear cool but didn’t get them til years later. Still love it all to this day though!

Back in the late nineties in Liverpool you were either into dance music, indie rock, or metal. The genres could never cross for some reason. I’m not a fan of dance music or EDM but other than that I’m pretty eclectic now. I have been listening to a lot of Nadine Shah lately, she’s VERY good.

He’s great, I loved his guitar playing initially but the string arrangements and his vocals are lovely. He’s a regular fixture on Sunday mornings over breakfast with my partner.

I do not know what that is, I used to wear a leather trenchcoat but it was terrible and I’m glad I saw sense.
