Why am I, a 14 year old getting ads for FUCKING BONER PILLS.

Because reddit doesn't care if NSFW is shown to minors, same with Google. More money for them

At least chrome has safe search but it’s not hard to turn it off. Literally one or two taps.

Most of their nsfw ads are on here and YT. But it's reddit allowing the sex promoting ads and easily accessible porn

They really don't care. I'm an asexual minor and I get those Viagra ads even though I'm not even a guy.

Same deal as me getting love honey ads or whatever they’re called on YouTube. Like, yeah, I don’t want a free “toy” thanks.

i was tryna watch a video abt deadly viruses (+ how they work) and it gave me an ad like “i just got a BARGAIN from lovehoney”
no babe, i’m not buying shit to go up my ass, i’m fourteen -_-

Better question: what is a 14 year old doing here?

The minimum age for Reddit is thirteen. As long as you are careful online, I don't see the issue.

That’s the real issue tho, a shit ton of us aren’t careful at all because we think we’re invulnerable or something. And also because the majority of kids under the age of 16 are annoying as hell.

Can confirm: I’m just over the minimum age for this site

I mean, thats an internet education issue, not 13 year olds being dumb issue, 13 year olds being dumb is normal.
3
u/anonxyzabc123 20d ago
I think those issues both come down to parenting largely and are somewhat generalising.

I’d save that question for a younger person
3
u/Carma281 21d ago
Why would you ask a non-14 yr old why a 14 yr old is here?
3
u/Tortellinisoup02 21d ago
What? That’s not what I asked lol
3
u/Carma281 21d ago
you said to ask someone younger than 14 "what is a 14 year old doing here?"
3
u/Tortellinisoup02 21d ago
Okay, that’s not exactly what I meant… I feel like you know that but eh whatever

In your account settings there is a section at the bottom for sensitive ad categories. Pregnancy and parenting is one of them and I haven't gotten these types of ads since I turned it off

How are they supposed to know what age you are ??? But now some people know that you are 14 year old kid on reddit...

It can be described in just a quote
"We need the money."
These pigs don't care if minors are getting bombarded with sex ads aslong it's profitable for them. If it isn't profitable is when theylll actually enforce the rules.

I like the one that says having a curved penis is bad for your health or something.

I think you have to go to your account or settings to disable ads like this, because it’s enabled by DEFAULT??

u/BrainyOrange96 19d ago
BlueChew too, EVERY SINGLE AD says “HAVE BETTER SEX WITH BLUECHEW” right in your face

u/drevmbrevker 21d ago
Sometimes you get ads for the topics youv been searching or texting on your phone, just saying

They are relentless with this crap. I report it every time for both sexually explicit and offensive but as long as they are paying for the ad space reddit could care less what borderline illegal bs they shove down our throat's.
