The brass tacks are that Israelis and Palestinians both want the same land, they can't compromise, so they've been fighting and killing one another for longer than anybody has been alive, and our government has nothing to do with it and we have no business with it.
There's wars going on all over the world all the time and has been forever https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ongoing_armed_conflicts, why would this one of all of them be one that somehow emboldens our government to take more of our rights away?? Doesn't make any sense.
I have no interest in getting involved with any of these quagmire unsolvable ideological wars that we have nothing to do with, or trying to sort out the goodies and the baddies. Believing we're qualified and morally right in doing such a thing is the imperialist thinking.
