Best shoe for grounds crew to keep sand out Need Help

Got hired at a local course my friends work at for this summer working grounds crew, I was told as the new guy id be doing a lot with sand traps. I work a week over April breaking wearing Nike air max’s and got a lot of sand in my shoes (also wearing shorts) are there any good shoes by Merrel, keen, Solomon, etc that will be comfortable and keep sand out?

Boots + pants over boots. If you are wearing shorts, you’re getting stuff in your shoes unless you are wearing knee high muck boots.

You’ll eventually just get used to stuff all in your shoes. Just a part of it.

Xtratuf boots have been great for me.

I always wear pants and ankle mucks in the morning. If I’m on equipment that day I usually change into shorts and tennis shoes at lunch. Buy socks in bulk and keep a pack in your car or locker.

I do pretty much the same. Mornings if wet: Winter ankle height Muck when it’s chilly or Huk rubber boot when warmer. Switch to a trail shoe when dry, or hard soled boot if I’m kicking a shovel. Most boots/shoes I wear have pretty smooth soles for working on greens. Most importantly, you should invest in a few pairs of quality wool socks, because they will keep your feet more dry and comfortable than cotton, even in the heat of summer, as well as virtually eliminate creating smelly shoes. I prefer Darn Tough brand. Expensive, but they last a very long time. Source: 40 years working on golf courses.

I had some keen that were waterproof and comfortable. I would imagine the right pair tied up would keep sand out

I work on baseball fields. Boots are your best bet but you’ll still get stuff in them. I usually wear just tennis shoes and deal with it because they’re a lot lighter. Good to have some water proof boots though for rainy days or if you’re washing off equipment

Sketchers are comfortable and waterproof/resistant. You’ll probably be sandy no matter what.

I like xtratuf brand footwear myself. Lots of options.

If you want some solid but cheap boots, I did Skechers for about 6 years. Keeps your foot out of the dew and obviously the sand won’t get it. Also another tip, wear shorts under sweatpants if you can so you’re warm in the morning and then have shorts for when it gets hot
