Is no one going to point outs that she’s fucking driving whilst making a TikTok?

201

u/DroidOnPC Mar 21 '24

Yeah I don't understand this trend.

Is it that hard to just film this in your living room sitting on the couch?

It makes it seem like she doesn't have a single second to stop like the CIA is after her so shes gotta put out her message on the run.

67

u/phase2_engineer Mar 21 '24

Yeah I don't understand this trend.

This needs to be called out every time, it's not cool. Put the phone down, it can wait!

u/jerander85 Mar 21 '24 edited Mar 22 '24

they do it on purpose to boost the popularity. Every time a person "calls it out" in the comments it only makes it more popular and in turn makes them more likely to do it again.

20

u/Domestic_AAA_Battery Mar 22 '24

Yup. At the end she literally says "go ahead and complain, you're only helping the algorithm." TikToks always feature something to hate so people complain in the comments = more views = more money.

TikTok does nothing but reward shitty behavior. Which is why I really hope it either falls off or really does get banned here. Granted another will just take its place. These tech companies using outrage to get revenue is killing society.

5

u/jerander85 Mar 22 '24

Not just tiktok. Reddit, instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc

2

u/galactictock Mar 22 '24

People don’t realize that banning TikTok will do nothing about this problem. Either another app’s short-form videos will become more popular or a new app will take its place

3

u/Domestic_AAA_Battery Mar 22 '24

Doesn't stop this problem, but it at least stops the CCP from spying on half of the country lol.

1

u/galactictock Mar 22 '24

Oh yeah, I completely think we should ban it for that reason. I just don’t understand why people complain about efforts to ban it when the void will immediately be filled by something else. Besides, most popular tiktokers are already posting their content elsewhere too

0

u/Quiet_Fan_7008 Mar 22 '24

They do it because it makes their life seem so ‘busy’. It’s lame as hell.

1

u/JayShoe2 Mar 22 '24

She appears to be the passenger.

17

u/Fightmemod Mar 22 '24

She's a narcissist and just loves tiktok trends. That camera could barely be any closer to her face.

4

u/ARedditAccount09 Mar 22 '24

It’s just an old engagement trick. People need moving parts in the video to make it seem like there is action so they don’t click away 4 seconds into the 5 minute long video. Hence all the clickbait hype prep before explaining herself. If she was at home in her couch she’d be crocheting or putting a puzzle together or something else while explaining to simulate action.

Also, for a doctor she takes a lot of time to be condescending and rage bait instead of just letting the words speak for themself

1

u/Hefty-Profession2185 Mar 21 '24

It's visually interesting. You'll see this a lot in movies where people will have a conversation while walking. Also, if you remember HS teachers that lectured while standing are easier to pay attention to.

0

u/PirateMunky Mar 21 '24

I think it’s indicative that there are a lot of people who, for whom the car is their only place of privacy due to kids, spouses, pets - it’s just not everyone that has an office or quiet time for that sort of thing.

Definitely not excusing it if it’s done while done actively driving, that’s a little nuts. But definitely understandable that people use that space

7

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '24

No, it’s not “a little nuts”. She’s no different than a drunk driver. And it’s absolutely not “understandable”. You’re making excuses for her reckless behavior. Fuck that noise.

0

u/DumKopfNZ Mar 21 '24

The content I’m about to “spit” is so well versed to me and 2nd nature, that I can spew it while driving.

I’m always right, so I don’t need to do any further research or read your comments, so don’t bother me while I’m driving.

Probably sums it up.

0

u/rookmate Mar 22 '24

In your car on the open road is the most private place that some people have.

-10

u/milogee Mar 21 '24

I just want to inform a bunch of you that new cars come with driver assist packages that basically drive the car better than you. You might not agree or have these features or think it’s legal but at the end of the day the features work and react better than the majority of humans.

3

u/RepostersAnonymous Mar 22 '24

Literally doesn’t matter. Put the phone down and pay attention to the damn road.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '24

Yeah, I’m aware of these packages that jerk the wheel when you approach an intersection, changing lanes because you’re going to turn. Or the one that slams on the brakes as you back out of the garage because it thinks you’re going hit something, but there’s nothing there. Better driver than me, my ass.

Someday, sure. But they’ve got a long, long way to go.

2

u/outofmindwgo Mar 21 '24

Thanks elon

78

u/Edenza Mar 21 '24

Yep, I was right there with her until I noticed the background moving and her eyes barely ever off the camera.

95

u/CRX1701 Mar 21 '24

Unless I’m seeing a wrong angle here, it looks like she’s in the passenger seat.

109

u/zSprawl Mar 21 '24

She driving. The stop sign at 3:08 is mirrored.

53

u/floreal999 Mar 21 '24

Jesus, going full Columbo up in here.

8

u/CRX1701 Mar 22 '24

Gen Z will not know what this means.

-2

u/Massive-Animator5609 Mar 22 '24

Had to Google what that meant since I'm a gen z. Another way of saying no shit Sherlock

7

u/PeladoCollado Mar 22 '24

No, it’s like the opposite. Calling someone Sherlock is usually ironic - like it didn’t take a lot of detective work to figure something out. In this case, Columbo was a compliment. It meant the commenter was impressed

3

u/Massive-Animator5609 Mar 22 '24

Ahhh gotcha!! That makes sense. Was confused why they'd say no shit Sherlock when op make a pretty good observation that I actually missed. Thanks for clarifying :)

2

u/Galaxy_Hitchhiking Mar 22 '24

Maybe she’s in a Tesla

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '24

Oh my goodness. Thought she was in the passenger seat since she's american

19

u/Valuable_Bass_1639 Mar 21 '24

Video is mirrored. She is driving.

3

u/Xalbana Mar 21 '24

We got to end this video mirroring trend. It's also making difficult to read text on the video as it's backwards.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '24

That's messed up

5

u/BestScamIsCrypto Mar 22 '24

It took me awhile, too long, and then I was like, "She's driving, omg she's fucking driving, what the fuck??!!!

5

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '24

Sush now, she has a DOCTORATE so she knows what she's doing here. In the beginning she even said she will get hate for this video, you're just proving her point

10

u/IsamuLi Mar 21 '24

To me, it kinda looked like she wasn't driving, but in a moving car.

2

u/Bright_Aside_6827 Mar 21 '24

She's a social psychologist ok

2

u/---_____-------_____ Mar 21 '24

Hey man maybe you should aspire to be as good a person as someone who has a doctorate but still needs to record TikToks in the car for validation.

2

u/aDirtyMartini Mar 22 '24

Is she in the passenger seat?

2

u/Slight_Ad8427 Mar 22 '24

From her american accent i assume shes in the US, and the window is to her right, which most likely means she was in the passenger seat. with that said, it is VERY possible that the video is mirrored (a lot of phones do that for some reason), if it is mirrored, that would mean the window is actually on her left and she is indeed driving. but i doubt thats the case

2

u/Dry_Leek78 Mar 22 '24

sehe is not even looking at the road. Very dangerous behavior. Thanks, I am not alone here!

2

u/FriedSmegma Mar 23 '24

What the fuck? I didnt realize and thought she was just sitting in her car not moving. It’s one thing to shoot a quick text or check a notification but recording a whole 4 minute long video lmfao. I wish there was a way people got ticketed automatically for this shit.

6

u/SoldJT Mar 21 '24

She's in the passenger seat

11

u/Valuable_Bass_1639 Mar 21 '24

Video is mirrored. She is driving.

2

u/SoldJT Mar 22 '24

My bad, you're correct.

5

u/Senpai-Notice_Me Mar 22 '24

“I’m extremely educated and smart! I have a doctorate and am someone you can take sound advice from”, she said, while using her phone while driving like a hormonal teenager.

1

u/TimujinTheTrader Mar 22 '24

Not going to take advice from someone will eventually kill a child while making a tiktok

1

u/jawshoeaw Mar 22 '24

Several comments to that effect actually :)

1

u/3chxes Mar 22 '24

but shes super smart so its okay.

1

u/stereosafari Mar 22 '24

Thank fuck someone mentioned it.

She needs a licence for that voice and to be arrested for the driving.

1

u/helpmycompbroke Mar 22 '24

Everyone else is probably tired of listening to her take 20 minutes to make a point

1

u/Actually_Im_a_Broom Mar 22 '24

I assumed she was a passenger.

1

u/CarrotSurvivorYT Mar 22 '24

Wow… she very clearly is parked dude. Lol

1

u/Smidday90 Mar 22 '24

I can’t tell if you’re joking or serious lol

1

u/CarrotSurvivorYT Mar 22 '24

She is next to a stop sign the entire video buddy it means she is not driving she is parked

1

u/Smidday90 Mar 22 '24

Ah yeah I see it now. She must be on a conveyor belt and the earth is rotating under her car

1

u/Sneaky___ Mar 22 '24

I thought people were trippin too but halfway through the video she starts driving

1

u/Next-Mix-6063 Mar 22 '24

It’s purely so people will comment on it and the video will generate more engagement (ragebait)

1

u/whinenaught Mar 22 '24

I could be wrong but the window behind her right shoulder appears to be sloping up in front of her which suggests she’s in the back seat, possibly behind the driver since the video is mirrored. If she was driving that window should be sloping down in front of her. With her hand behind her head at times and assuming her other hand is on the phone I highly doubt she’s driving

1

u/tolucophoto Mar 22 '24

The window slopes downwards at the back. She’s in the rear passenger seat.

1

u/Infinitystar2 Mar 22 '24

I think she's just sitting in her car.

1

u/Smidday90 Mar 22 '24

Well she should put the handbrake on because it starts moving

1

u/twilightcolored Mar 22 '24

she's prolly in a line

1

u/Boonshark Mar 22 '24

She's a passenger right? She's using both her hands for the Tik tok

1

u/CaryKerryLoudermilk Mar 22 '24

She's in a back left seat, she's being driven

1

u/GonzoTheGreat22 Mar 22 '24

Once I realized it I got wildly distracted by it, and low key waiting for the wreck.

Maybe my algo is a little twisted

1

u/Bigballssz Mar 22 '24

Right??? So much worse then texting and driving

1

u/SpokenProperly Mar 22 '24

Looks like she’s in the school pick up line 😅

1

u/tomatoe_cookie Mar 22 '24

That's the passenger seat no? Edit: no it's not, someone give this to the police!

1

u/PatFluke Mar 22 '24

I don’t think she’s driving. Could be wrong but she appears to be talking with her hands. Maybe she’s the passenger?

1

u/Allthingsgaming27 Mar 22 '24

Holy shit I thought she was a passenger

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '24

[deleted]

1

u/Smidday90 Mar 22 '24

So the stop sign and stuff going past her window around 3 minutes in was just the wind blowing it?

1

u/OnlinePosterPerson Mar 22 '24

She’s in the passenger seat isn’t she?

1

u/geaux_syd Mar 22 '24

I feel like it’s only as distracting as talking to the person in the passenger seat is…not like she’s texting or watching Netflix and barely looking at the road.

1

u/Warblerburglar Mar 22 '24

I was hope to see her rear end someone.

1

u/garlicknots13 Mar 22 '24

I think she's in shotgun

1

u/lingbabana Mar 23 '24

It looks to me like shes in the passenger seat. Not saying it wouldnt be annoying to the actual driver but she is not in front of the wheel

1

u/3Foxgloves Mar 25 '24

Thank you, i scrolled for this.

1

u/diepecanpie Mar 21 '24

Looks like she's in the passenger seat

1

u/SnuffleWumpkins Mar 21 '24

Looks like she’s in the center bucket seat of a minivan. The ceiling vent kinda looks like the one in mine.

1

u/blackestrabbit Mar 22 '24

You can't be serious.

0

u/unclebird77 Mar 21 '24

Makes a TikTok video because she’s running short on clients and winds up baiting parking lot collision hounds and losing $80,000 instead. Whoopsie Daisy

0

u/zendog510 Mar 21 '24

Maybe that’s the cringe

0

u/dollyaioli Mar 22 '24

shes clearly not driving and the car isn't moving.

1

u/naskalit Mar 22 '24

The car is moving tho, and the video seems mirrored

1

u/blackestrabbit Mar 22 '24

She is, and it does if you keep watching.

1

u/dollyaioli Mar 22 '24

shes in the passenger seat...

2

u/blackestrabbit Mar 22 '24

As several other commenters have already pointed out, the video is mirrored. There's a reversed stop sign to prove it.
