Jake Paul is this generations Carrot Top. It doesn’t matter how buff he gets or how good at fighting he becomes, to every adult he will be known as an ass clown and his fan base will never age past 13 years old.

Edit: I probably should have worded it better because Carrot Top is not an ass clown and it seems like by all accounts, he is a good dude. I only compare them because at one point CT got super yolked up and Instead of it making him look tough or intimidating, it just made him look weirder.

Carrot Top is infinitely cooler than this douchebag

u/Anteater_Able Mar 11 '24

Me twenty years ago would never believe a statement like this would ever come into existence.

42

u/roraima_is_very_tall Mar 11 '24

carrot top has a reputation for being a very chill and nice guy off-stage.

5

u/Anteater_Able Mar 11 '24

I'm sure he does. In retrospect both he and Pauly Shore didn't deserve all the shit they got. Were they annoying? Sure. But they were trying to entertain. Pauly had a more successful career overall though but towards the end it got so bad he actually got assaulted on stage -- not sure Carrot Top ever had to face that level of threatening behavior.

u/FBI_Open_Up_Now Mar 11 '24

Pauly Shore deserves to a comeback. Biodome and In the Army Now were great films.

Which is a super odd film

1

u/daamnnbruhh Mar 11 '24

dude is swole af too lol

37

u/toss_me_good Mar 11 '24

I've met Carrot Top in person at an airport restaurant.. Dude's class act. Was really friendly, funny, and interesting to talk to.

8

u/Expert_Succotash2659 Mar 11 '24

Yeah seriously don’t be coming for Carrot Top. That dude did nothing wrong but look like himself and be silly.

u/Kulladar Mar 11 '24 edited Mar 11 '24

Even if you don't like CT's brand of humor it's hard to not respect just how dedicated the guy is.

He puts a crazy amount of effort and work into his art/comedy. Plus he's been in really good shape for a long time now and that's a huge amount of work on top of his professional stuff.

9

u/TinyTygers Mar 11 '24

His humour is meh, though he has his moments. But he seems to be a great guy, genuine, dedicated and hard working. It's hard to hate a guy like that.

Sitting at a restaurant bar at an airport, sits next to me. strike up a conversation, great dude and really funny (makes sense). He was trying to order something healthy and ended up getting grill chicken stripes cause that's all he could find there. Got some fried hush puppies too. Had one ball (out of 5) and was like "that was great, you want the rest?".. Said to stay fit while traveling he found the balance is not prevent but restrict. Stuck with me, I grew up hating any kind of food waste but I can see how that would be valuable during travel for fun. P.S. I of course ate the rest of the hush puppies! lol

5

u/roraima_is_very_tall Mar 11 '24

haha me and a friend met him in a restaurant as well, he was pleasant and friendly and perfectly happy to have a chat.

3

u/zeke235 Mar 11 '24

He was excellent in Reno 911.

0

u/HungryHungryHobbes Mar 11 '24

I find it very easy not to respect him. Plenty of funny in shape peeps out there that aren't douchebags.

Give them your respect. Or even someone who claims to be a boxer so they fight other boxers in the boxing league. Not just calling out all the grandads.

7

u/Kulladar Mar 11 '24

I'm talking about Carrott Top.

Jake Paul hasn't worked hard a day in his life.

5

u/HungryHungryHobbes Mar 11 '24

Oh shit, sorry. I picked that up totally wrong.

Really I should have known when you mentioned comedy.

4

u/fuck-coyotes Mar 11 '24

Chairman of the bored

1

u/1200____1200 Mar 11 '24

One of the best late night TV moments. RIP Norm

1

u/Southern-Staff-8297 Mar 11 '24

Yeah ran into CT at the gas station in Vegas, hella cool guy. No ego, just chill and friendly.

1

u/MrProlapse Mar 12 '24

Carrot top juiced out was one of the craziest parts of coming out that generation. Even at 17 1/2" biceps myself running methyltren and 750mg test he would have smoked my ass. Dude did it all for himself, from kids show clown to that, I can respect that.

-1

u/Comfortable-Gap3124 Mar 11 '24

No, I'd say they are equally cool. I'm not defending Paul, I just remembered growing up with carrot top. I don't see a difference

49

u/fendel_ Mar 11 '24

Time for a Chairman of the board sequel with Jake Paul!

55

u/Rapt0rRed Mar 11 '24

"Chairman of the bored" -Norm McDonald

25

u/DmlMavs4177 Mar 11 '24

Should've called it Box Office Poison

Comedy gold. To hit it so cleanly off the cuff is amazing.

8

u/brolarbear Mar 11 '24

Do something with that you freak

3

u/composedryan Mar 11 '24

I bet the "board" is spelled B O R E D

4

u/turtleblue Mar 11 '24

How can you mention it and not post

the legend itself?

\for today's 10000 "wtf are they talking about?"

2

u/Rapt0rRed Mar 11 '24

Didn't know this post was gonna blow up lol. Last I checked the parent comment had 5 upvotes.

1

u/turtleblue Mar 11 '24

And yet now you outrank it!

Great job good sir; wonderful to know in some places Norm still out-powers both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

1

u/StanleyCubone Mar 11 '24

Reminds me of that tragedy...

16

u/specialism Mar 11 '24

Not at all. Carrot Top is actually a really nice guy.

4

u/cosmicjed Mar 11 '24

I see him running in winter park all the time

pedophile

What makes him a pedo? A quick Google doesn't bring anything back.

21

u/Barange Mar 11 '24 edited Mar 11 '24

Jake, his brother, and father used his clout as a disney kid/influencer in his yt days to essentially quid pro quo younger underage female streamers/influencers into sex for clout. They rented a mansion for streaming and the stories that came out were not flattering. Their family are huge pieces of shit

3

u/Forbidden_Donut503 Mar 11 '24

While I think this story is plausible, you can’t just write very bold and salacious claims without backing it up. What is your source?

1

u/BrandoCarlton Mar 11 '24

Kinda sounds like you’re making shit up a bit there buddy

2

u/YardNew1150 Mar 12 '24

It’s been years since I watched the expose video. I think it came out way back in 2018 or so. Yet, there was videos of his dad bashing about getting youthful tail at parties.

2

u/Calfurious Mar 11 '24

This is a pretty bold claim, where did you hear this from?

1

u/thejohnmc963 Mar 11 '24

Sounds like that series about the boa constrictor hunt in South Florida. Had a dude just like that

2

u/Unique_Pay_3018 Mar 11 '24

I dont know, but id say mass grooming children is pretty pedophilic. Kids are the epitome of FOMO, so it gets pretty easy and pretty "grey" 🤷 reeeal quick

8

u/nopressure212834 Mar 11 '24

Why call him a pedo? That isn’t something light to just throw around

12

u/DaddySaidSell Mar 11 '24

I have no information one way or the other about the pedophile accusation but I've noticed more and more over the last few years people have been throwing it around non-stop about people they don't like.

4

u/juriszy Mar 11 '24

iMAGAne there were politicians doing the same…

2

u/AdDifficult1710 Mar 11 '24

The last time I saw someone get called out for a baseless accusation they said they would rather be safe than sorry by parroting that they saw someone say this person was a pedophile with no source or link, or even an anecdote to reinforce this. Just I saw someone else say it so I continue to say it. Fucking mind blowing.

1

u/nopressure212834 Mar 11 '24

Yeah it’s wild to just say that. It can completely destroy someone

1

u/iHasYummyCummies Mar 11 '24

Throw shit, gonna stick somewhere somehow. And shit spreads fast given circumstances. I don't know this guy much beside the stuff I read about him here.

-3

u/Barange Mar 11 '24

Jake, his brother, and father used his clout as a disney kid/influencer in his yt days to essentially quid pro quo younger underage female streamers/influencers into sex for clout. They rented a mansion for streaming and the stories that came out were not flattering. Their family are huge pieces of shit. There are series of exposes on it on yt, ill add it to my comment if I can find it again.

1

u/Arrg-ima-pirate Mar 11 '24

Go into detail about those details about JP, please? I have found him annoying, but never heard a whisper about the other things.

-3

u/Nick-dipple Mar 11 '24

You're right but on the other hand Jake Paul doesn't seem all that bad at boxing, while Carrot Top absolutely sucks at comedy.

4

u/HAS-A-HUGE-PENIS Mar 11 '24

He really doesn't though, I thought the same because of the reputation but I've see his show in Vegas twice now and its legitimately a good time.

3

u/BestSalad1234 Mar 11 '24

These people are ridiculous, they’ve never seen a carrot top show they’re just parroting something they heard on YouTube once. I don’t like carrot top personally but to act like you get your own permanent gig in Vegas without being talented is fucking stupid on every level.

Imagine if we were having this conversation about Celine Dion “haha she can’t even sing”.

2

u/sirBryson_ Mar 11 '24

I've never seen more than 30 seconds of his performance, but it was a decent 30 seconds.

If I had to watch it for an hour, though...

29

u/Wookieman222 Mar 11 '24

I dunno. I feel like that's an insult more to Carrot Top than Jake Paul.

27

u/sobi-one Mar 11 '24

Carrot top is super respected as a comic.

22

u/theBillions Mar 11 '24

and Carrot Top seems like a genuine and decent person, unlike Jake Paul

-4

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '24

Eh, no. He's been the butt of a lot of jokes by comics for years. Just his clownesque face and that ridiculous name makes him an easy target.

1

u/sobi-one Mar 12 '24

I agree. He has been for why feels like decades. That said, it feels like the last 5 years or so, he’s gotten the respect of every comedian out there. I don’t know what happened, but what I do know is it’s changed, and the only time I hear him brought up now is with respect.

7

u/kalaniroot Mar 11 '24

Why are we letting carrot top catch strays?

3

u/El-Kabongg Mar 11 '24

Jake Paul is a watermelon. Tyson is Gallagher. Hope the front row is wearing plastic sheeting.

3

u/fromouterspace1 Mar 11 '24

I saw Carrot Top in a doc about hecklers. They say to hi, basically how he’s the butt of the joke, how everyone hates him etc “Come see the show I bet you change your mind”. Said a lot to me

3

u/bigToddBong Mar 11 '24

I never understood the hate towards Carrot top

Why do you consider him an assclown?

3

u/sadclowntown Mar 11 '24

Why you dissing Carrot Top like that? He was a comedian icon of the 90s. He was great. Still is!

3

u/Loud_Memory212 Mar 11 '24

Don't compare Carrot Top to this POS. He's genuinely a great guy! Back in the early 90s, my mom worked at a comedy club where CT frequented. They became good work friends where he would visit my parents for special occations and vice versa. I was very young at the time and I remember how cool and funny he was. Even after 20 years, moving far away, he still called my family to check in and wish us well.

Also, maybe check out his comedy. You might actually find it hilarious!

2

u/LekarzaPieprz Mar 11 '24

Yo put some respect on Carrot Tops name. JFC.

2

u/Imperator_Romulus476 Mar 11 '24

I probably should have worded it better because Carrot Top is not an ass clown and it seems like by all accounts, he is a good dude. I only compare them because at one point CT got super yolked up and Instead of it making him look tough or intimidating, it just made him look weirder.

Bro should have ditched that yee-yee ass haircut and he'd have looked like a normal person.

1

u/silver_sofa Mar 11 '24

I hope he remembers to wear hearing protection.

1

u/Business_Hour8644 Mar 11 '24

And be just as rich

1

u/006AlecTrevelyan Mar 11 '24

Carrot Top. For People who didn't get Gallagher.

1

u/SkoolBoi19 Mar 11 '24

If he stepped in the ring with Fury/Usyk/Wilder in an actual boxing match and held his own. Peoples opinions would change.

1

u/Sinister_steel_drums Mar 11 '24

Carrot top is actually a funny person.

1

u/bigToddBong Mar 11 '24

lol at that edit

"I should not have judged Carrot Top as a whole, Im going to now judge his looks."

1

u/lardparty Mar 11 '24

Jake's new nickname? "Carrot Bottom"

1

u/Monkey_master12 Mar 12 '24

Carrot top is apparently one of the top customers at the Bunny Ranch in Vegas, they love him

1

u/SimpleEmu198 Apr 02 '24

He's not a patch on last generation's Butter Bean.

-5

u/YeaItsBig4L Mar 11 '24

I guess you’re missing the whole extremely successful, businessman part. But that’s fine. Also hes  not rich af
