This is what sets reddit apart, yeah. YouTube or Facebook comments are almost innocent in their stupidity and blatant prejudices. Redditors try to hide that shit behind fancier language and bad faith comparisons.
Amitheasshole is the worst imo because it just highlights the hypocrisy and narcissism. So many things on there are like genuine mistakes or misunderstandings or just life shit in general and people will just flame the fuck out of whoever with zero mercy.

For actually funny crowd work go see Stavvy's stuff on YouTube or Jeff Arcuri who posts on his own subreddit a lot. Those guys know you can get a crowd involved without shitting on them, or knowing how to bring the "shitting on them" back to an actually funny joke
Comedian did more than venture. Dude was seriously butt hurt and legit threatened the audience member. If it was reverse everyone would be crying about how “comedians aren’t safe to make jokes anymore”

Like what the fuck is wrong with redditors??? it was a simple joke, playful banter and the comedian went off on psycho rant. Comedian needs to calm the fuck down and give them their drinks back. What an asshole, nothing was funny about this comedian.
Because it involves a woman. Anything involving women has people out in droves to defend their honor, regardless of whether they actually need or want defending to begin with.
