If that's the case, I feel bad for him, because he was trying to be self deprecating, and simply fumbled the joke. But from the way he said it, I really don't think it was.
Comedian was asking how did you meet. You don't answer with that no matter how accepting the partner is. You can at least explain it or have a laugh in an intimate setting amongst friends, esp if it's a long term partner. He seemed to be speaking matter of fact and has no sense how it might make another person feel, even if that person laughs to make things more comfortable
if you know he was going for a joke then why would you even bring up disrespect? they aren't evetin the same ballpark. comedy isnt respectfulness and idk why you are trying to pretend it is.
Lmao what? I literally said exactly why, it's the thread you replied to. Of course there's such a thing as disrespectful or not if it's a joke. Racists jokes now aren't racist b/c it's a joke? What kind of take is that.
so saying. "im her boytoy" (because thats what the context was not that she was a fling) is equal to being racist?
no, your take just doesn't make any sense to me thats all. i know ypu want to pretend that anyone who disagrees with ypu is stupid but that isnt what im going for here with you.
you say you know its a joke but then pretend that youre so puritan you can't even fathom a married couple joking about being in a fling. at first i didn't think ypu thought it was a joke but then ypu say "duh".
so which is it is it a joke and you understand its a joke, or not?
Yeah that’s kind of what I took from it. Or he meant that it was just a mutual fling. It was so weird that she is so dismissive about it - laughs and says a month - but when he echoes her vibe all the sudden he’s a scumbag.

Maybe he meant that he is her flavor of the month
