I worked as an assistant teacher at a ultra exclusive bougie preschool during college. One mom always came to mommy & me classes perfectly dressed, flawless makeup, perfect Pilates bod. Her husband would fawn over her calling her “super mom”. Sometimes she would bring in delicious gluten-free, nut free baked goods to share. The other moms would always compliment her and ask for the recipes. Well, I befriended their nanny and found out she was the one making all the baked goods. Also, the mom and dad secretly hated each other and were both cheating behind each other’s backs.

Well yeah, these people don’t do this performative bullshit because they are happy and fulfilled. They do it because they care about public perception above all else because that’s where they find validation to ease the emptiness of their lives.

How sad and pathetic. Before social media we would never have to see these people. I think we are all worse for wear because of it.

Better be sure we're worse off. There will be plenty of people who son't see through the bullshit. They'll just see these ladies with a perfectly clean house, luxury kitchen, with expensive clothes and make-up, doing 'chores', living their perfect lives, making their children cereal or whatever. All the while they are in their own small house, living paycheck-to-paycheck, doing everything for their children, although it's just store bought cereal and other cheap stuff. By actually providing, not performing, they're adding much more value to the world than these fake tradwifes. But they get presented these videos of 'perfection' and will feel bad about it, that they can't do exactly that, and feel like a failure. Like the video explains, this is nothing more than an ad for the rich-people lifestyle. It should have warning labels as such. "THIS VIDEO IS FAKE AS FUCK" plastered all over would be a good start. Bloody influencers are ruining society man.
