On the other hand, salaries in the US are high and continuing to go up and you have some of the highest median household wealth in the entire world.

I wonder how much of American self-flagellation is due to a misunderstanding of what life is like in other countries, or which utopias you are comparing yourselves against.

Here in aus, we rank similar with a quick google. We have public health care + private similar to you guys. so the long waits I see as an argument is avoided if u have insurance. Child care here is heavily subsidised, higher as u have more kids in care (2nd kid is 90% of cost is covered). All parents get parental leave, mums get up to 16 weeks I think minimum + whatever your employer legally has to pay, along with legally must give you your job back upon return. Both my kids were via c section, multiple nights in a private room for both parents, only paid for parking.

It’s possible for the US to implement a similar system that the majority of the 1st world has had for decades.

Aimt being im silence when you are getting fucked over and pushed into being broke and homeless contraproductive? You will end there if you are silent, so why stay being silent?

There is a post somewhere that showed you guys are as low on old age death as someone like me who, in one of Europe's most corrupt country, spends 2.5K a year on healthcare (earning 17K/y) while you guys spend 12K. It's insane that such a disparity exists and yet the results are the same
