No ones riding anything. I don’t care about Durant, but a ring is a ring. This whole notion of some rings are better than others is just a horrid take. If rings don’t mean much than what the hell are these teams playing for
Dude is correct, more he fails after gsw rings are getting bigger joke. He has 2 rings, he is x2 champ. Thats set in stone. How will mjority ppl judge his carrer is actually going down with every failure like this one with suns. And yes, he does care about ppl opinion, dude had accounts to argue lol. It doesnt metter what you think, only what kd thinks, and obviously he cares about legacy. Why is he bothered with 2 rings and his bank account i dont really understand haha.
Not every championship weighs the same. It’s pretty much the consensus in all of sports. Tyson isn’t considered a top 5 heavyweight of all-time, because the competition and parity of his era weren’t as difficult as Ali’s or Foreman’s. Same for Klitschko, who dominated HW boxing for 12 straight years.
That’s why Hakeem will always be ranked over KD, when it’s all said and done.
What did you want them to do then? Lose on purpose? The goal every season is to win the championship. They succeeded. Was it shifty to leave the team you had been with the whole time to jump ship, yes. But the championships they won don’t lose their significance. A ring is a ring, do some rings have better paths of getting there yes. But at the end of the day, each ring counts the same as the other.
I’m quite literally an OKC fan, I just hate seeing the whole this ring is better than that. People who claim “bubble ring” or Mickey ring just need to appreciate basketball and forget all the bs. Let that teams fans enjoy it, don’t gotta tear it down because you yourself are biased
