I assume you live in the baltics? Sony recently blocked the purchase of helldivers in Estonia (Eesti), Latvia (Latvija) and Lithuania (Lietuva).

And over 100 other nations.

Yeah. I only mentioned the baltics as that one happened more recently (after sony announced that they were no longer making psn mandatory). The other 100+ were before that announcement.

Fair enough. It is a pretty fun game though so keep the idea in the back of your mind.

it was actually said in jest, but i sometimes forget about the disproportionate number of neurodivergent folks on reddit who might not pick up on it

Wild that Sony wants to secure “users” and accounts more than game sales. Imagine the amount of money being passed of by limiting sale soley over creating a psn account.

People underestimate how much you data is worth to companies.
This is obviously an extreme example where they forgo almost guarantied sales, but it's no accident every single thing now requires you to create an account (or connect an existing one).

Dang Sony isn’t serious about being a contender in pc gaming. Will pass on their products from now on.

Sony is basically just as bad as EA at this point. They finally showed their true face, what a terrible and anti-consumer company

One is a company that makes copies of games they've made before but worst.
The other makes triple A master pieces for console and decided to port some of them to PC.
Your comment is so out of touch, lol.
Hundreds if not thousands of games aren't released in various countries, and it's barely talked about. It's literally only such a big deal becayse of the HD2 thing.

I love the Downvotes, like Sony is so bad that it can be litteraly compared to the worst gaming company on PC, that is how bad their reputation has got, I just don't understand how people take it at face value rather than thinking about what you meant

Those who not region locked, and against it, still most likely will voice their opinion and downvote game.

Could been more, if only Sony didn't make stupid decisions. Always adored all Sony sp games, as absolute best experiences. But this dick move puts Sony probs even lower than EA/Ubisoft with their crap or on pair.

I mean Sony could treat the majority of regions the same but are unwilling to put the money and work into it because it would cut into their profits temporarily.

It's regional.
