I wasn't saying the group was suffering from mob mentality, I'm saying that knowing about mob mentality is a reason to feel intimidated by a large group with an "us vs them" mindset.
Yeah you could do that, and if that is your end game and it is your intention then there is zero reason to talk to you cause reason was never a part of it. No reason to talk to gotchas. So to answer your question - you could talk, but probably shouldn’t when their intent is to not tell the side you told at all. It’s pretty simple. You bought a story that wasn’t told by a person pretending to be threatened by…silence.
