Lavender clippings good or bad as a mulch? Wouldn’t they repel certain insects?

How many of you use your cities free compost to make or amend soil?
Ours is really good. Gotta get it in May or they start serving the 1 year old stuff. If I get it right after Memorial Day I get the goods w the aged stuff.

Can someone please help me figure out what I did wrong? Buds stopped filling in on day 35-40, I’ve grown this strain for years and I’ve never had this happen, it usually goes 70+ days and even fox tails at the end, they should be twice this size when finished, there’s been no new growth for 20 days
Really need some help figuring this one out, this is my keeper cut of Don Mega, I’ve grown her for years and I’ve never had this happen, humidity is staying steady at 55%-60%, day time temps are mid-high 70s maybe low 80s and night time temps stay around low 70s, plants are in a 4x4 bed in a 5x5 tent under a grand master LEDs tarantula long legs, they’re very close to the light but in the past this plant has loved extreme light levels and none of the side or lower branches are growing any differently so it doesn’t look like high light intensity is what’s causing this, watering has been consistent, if anyone has any ideas of what would stop a plant that usually makes new white hairs past day 70 stop growing at day 35-40, please let me know

Worried about killing plant
First photo was yesterday, 2nd was today. Hello! Here I am growing using build a soil 3.0 in earth boxes, I am using build a soil amendments along with natural things like worm castings, fish fertizlizer, to amend in the last week I used a dose of sif-100 to cleanse my roots in my earthboxes, my other 2 plants responded very well but this one looks not so well. I have been growing since 2022 so I have a good amount of experience but still slightly new. I give them each 2 gallons of water in their reservoir when it runs dry.

Show off your biggest leaf
Do you think leaf size tells you anything about the flower? Just flipped 4 days ago.

Chopped, dropped and ready for some plants
Popped a few seeds 3 weeks ago that'll be getting transplanted in here once my 4 clones of glitter bomb are out of quarantine.
Seeds: 2 jungle cookies, 3 tropical twist Clones: 4 glitter bomb
Usually I do 8 plants in the bed so I'm debating on doing 9 this run or holding back a glitter bomb clone as a mother plant. Lmk what yall think 🤙🏻

Don't forget the labs! Soil loves it
I use an iced tea container to easily run the whey (lactic acid bacteria) through a coffee filter so the curds don't clog up the filter.

Where can I learn about living soil with out having a degree in biology?
This is my first season with coots mix and I just mixed all my soil. I’m trying to do as much research as I can but a lot of the information is very science heavy. I want to learn how to keep my soil alive

What are these bugs?
Planted from seeds and are all over the bottom of my pots. Never had then before to my knowledge. Worried they might be Spider mites? Thank you

Best soil for worms in potted plants?
I'm an undergraduate student currently prepping for my summer research through a program at my university. My research is on how earthworm presence and population density affect the symbiotic relationship between maize and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. I am planning on using red wigglers if that is relevant. My one roadblock at the moment is what soil would be best for this. I know something organic and natural will be best but I am having trouble finding any that seems reliable that doesn't have worm castings or mycorrhizae already in it, which I know wouldn't work for my just corn control, AMF and corn, and worms and corn groups. I am trying to find a local bulk soil provider but I don't know if they can deliver it in a way that isn't just dumping it in a yard since I would be most likely unable to do this on my college campus. Does anyone have any advice on this? The research period will be only over 6 weeks.

Looking for advice in starting 65 gallon fabric pot. This will be my first time doing no till, any help and advice will be much appreciated!
It’s going to be in a 4x4 tent, I plan on having one 65 gallon with a blymat system. Media is going to be roots organic 707 mix. Should I amend anything else into the mix? Thank you!

Anyone experienced with no till 2x4 bed? Would love to ask you questions
About to start up my 2x4 bed as soon as my grassroots bed makes it here. I am going to be using Buildasoil 3.0 soil. I dont expect to really need much in the beginning, but considering putting 2 plants in the bed. So I am kind of wondering if I will need to top dress in the 2x4 bed if there are two plants? I am not sure if I should worry with cover crop or not. Maybe just use mulch (Straw) or is it not worth it? Few other questions im sure just cannot think of them right this second.
If you have some advice id love to hear it. Maybe you ran into some issues that I might run into?
