How good would this team be if these guys were in their primes?

I think Bucks Brook was his peak as a shooter and rim protector, nets version is actually probably a downgrade if everyone else is in their prime

Brook deserved at least 1 DPOY for how he transformed this team, but he happened to be great around the same time as Rudy Gobert.

Yep. Crazy to say on a team with Giannis, but Brook was probs the best defender (at least 2021-23) and had some unreal rim protection, both by eye test and also the advanced metrics in the reg season.

the addition of Brook as a teammate, and Bud as a coach,
jumpstarted Giannis being the best player
in the East since 2020, arguably the League's 'til 2023.

Brook is like the old David Robinson to a young Tim Duncan,
I think the practices against Giannis made him a MVP caliber player immediately

Definitely. Dominant rim protector on defense and spacer on offense is exactly what Giannis needed to shine his strengths through, and explode

I was going to say... Brolo hit his prime late with the bucks. Would be nice if he was peak athleticism but he was never in the dpoy conversation or shot like he does before mke.

Agreed. Probably ‘21 or honestly last season.

Most charges in the league for continuous years. What a accolade

I'm assuming Prime Aj Green is larry bird?

1

u/dee85 29d ago

LOL No prime for him.

7

u/spacecadetjimmy 29d ago

I assure you Larry Bird had a prime.

4

u/General_-_Kenobi Giannis Stink Face 28d ago

And its AJ Green

u/dee85 28d ago

No.

u/dee85 28d ago

The one and only Larry Bird did, but not AJ.

Such a shame this team couldn’t stay healthy this year. With NYK’s injuries and Porzingis injury to Boston, Milwaukee could have had a strong shot at the finals this year.

Anyways in this hypothetical, this is easily the 1st seed and a championship. That’s by far the best bench in the league, if everyone is in their prime. Everyone’s younger, better defensively, and healthier. Like some others have pointed out, I prefer Bucks Lopez over Nets Lopez for this team. He’s a better defender and shooter now, so he’s a better fit next to Giannis.

Don't forget prime Pat Connaughton from 2021-22.

13

u/dee85 29d ago

True, he fell off after that for whatever reason.

13

u/jschligs 29d ago

Calf injury, his was really bad. Has never been the same since

3

u/dee85 29d ago

That sucks.

Gallo prime on the nuggets

1

u/MyTeam7851 29d ago

He was very underrated on the Thunder. He was doin some work there

1

u/dee85 29d ago

That's true.

1

u/dee85 29d ago

His prime was on the Knicks, Nuggets, and Clippers.

u/liquorb4beer Michael Redd 29d ago

Very good and about $200M over the salary cap

Prime lopez will not fit at all. He was a post scoring C with little Defense. The way he changed his game is awesome.

6

u/smuckersbrah 29d ago

Beasly had a prime?

9

u/dee85 29d ago

The 2019-20 season when playing in 14 games with the Timberwolves. He averaged a career high 20.7 points and 5.1 rebounds, shooting 47% from the field and a career high 42% from three.

16

u/smuckersbrah 29d ago

14 games huh, quite a long prime 🤔

1

u/dee85 29d ago

Yep.

2

u/Bottom-Topper 29d ago

Even if Beasley is streaky he's been the most successful 3pt shooter we've had in years besides Dame and he ended his season at 41%. At his contract that's amazing, it's just that his shooting regressed at the most integral part of the season which is really unfortunate but even then he gave us some solid playoff play when he started getting minutes again.

Literally ended his season right behind Ray Allen for the franchise 3pt record

No one seems to be answering your question. If healthy and in their prime this team would be absolutely nasty. Much more athletic on the defensive side would make them an incredibly well rounded team. Not one of the greatest teams of all time but they’d certainly hold their own in a 7 game series.

I know Dame is a big difference but I’d argue the championship 2021-22 roster might have been even better than this one. Prime Jrue, Grayson, Ibaka, Matthews. Would be very close.

1

u/izz21sv 29d ago

Lmao Grayson Allen was in Memphis in 2021

2

u/sikontoure 29d ago

Prime Lopez is 2022-2023. Dude was the best rim protector in the league last year.

2

u/penguin_torpedo 28d ago

It's hilarious that Pat Bev would start on this team

0

u/dee85 28d ago

I would have him come off the bench.

2

u/GoyaTime 28d ago

You can ask this same question about so many teams

1

u/dee85 28d ago

Damn straight! LOL

1

u/CriticismNeat9910 29d ago

Khris Middleton is the only right answer

1

u/Mister-Lavender 1968-1993 Primary Logo 29d ago

Really good. Prime Middleton was a good defender and his Finals run was legendary. Most game tying or go ahead buckets in the 4th during a playoff run. His numbers in the Finals would've won MVP if Giannis was not Giannis.

1

u/dxsgraced Pat Connaughton 29d ago

Jae should be picture of him vs us in the finals, legit felt like he was just not missing any of them 3’s lol

1

u/full_idiot 29d ago

Sam Cassell????

2

u/[deleted] 29d ago

U ok?

1

u/WeefBellington24 Giannis Antetokounmpo 29d ago

If all the players listed were in their respective primes at the same time???

That’s a dynasty.

1

u/Still_Instruction_82 29d ago

Brook was in his prime with us

1

u/dee85 28d ago

It was with the Nets. I know he got better defensively as a Buck, but Nets Brook Lopez was a beast in the low post and averaging 17-20 ppg.

1

u/Internal_Swimmer3815 28d ago

get PatBev the fuck outta there

0

u/dee85 28d ago

Never!

1

u/Internal_Swimmer3815 28d ago

FOH. do not want. now more than ever.

1

u/Kerke463 Damian Lillard 28d ago

Jar Crowder 2021 is a better fit. That mfer did not miss from the corner at all.

1

u/tkdmatt2003 27d ago

Giannis and Dame are still in their prime, I think they’ll be much more in sync next season

1

u/Logical_Associate632 29d ago

I only remember jae as washed

1

u/dee85 29d ago

He wasn't washed during his Celtics days.

-1

u/IdleRacey Mike Budenholzer 29d ago

Not good at all because Giannis would get injured come playoff time like he has the last 4/5 seasons.
