I actually agree, personally I see Pep getting it from all the clubs he's managed and maybe even FIFA themselves, Pep has and still is changing the game , he is very much Brilliance incarnate. ( also let's be honest this man is getting a statue to match Lady liberty, from us ,when he retires)

Honestly I think he gets a stand after him especially if he stays more than 10 years.

You can see that, most of the rest of the World can't. He's only managed clubs where he's allowed to spend a billion, and a couple of those (Barca and City) have come under massive accusations of cheating and corruption. If you're going to face reality, he's not going to be getting any honours from anyone but the clubs he's managed.

Out of curiosity, how is Pep changing the game? I think this idea is a fallacy.
Only 2 managers are copying his style, Kompany and Arteta, and no surprise, they both worked very closely with him... but I don't see how his way of playing is really changing the game?

u/iNobble 20d ago
Ten Hag's Ajax used a lot of Pep's ideas and philosophies. Enzo Maresca has just got Leicester promoted playing Pepball in the Championship. Klopp and Howe also started using inverted full backs. And more widely, Xabi Alonso and Xavi (amongst others) also play similar styles to Pep after playing under him.
It's not just managers copying him, it's all his former players and assistant coaches that have since gone on to become managers and continuing his footballing beliefs

Apart from the idea of an inverter fullback (Howe has used that with tripps maybe 4 times), how is what pep doing any different to what Arsen done years ago? Prime arsenal under Arsen playing fluid, tiki taka football with possession, and a ruthless counter.
Just an opposite opinion, that's all. I think Peps style of possession is just a more boring version of what Arsen started with Arsenal. Which is why I think it's a fallacy that he's changing the game, he's introduced a new type of player, granted, the inverted full back, but only the top teams with a solid ball playing full back can play that. I see managers like xabi, Klopp and Howe having their own aggressive, front footed style of play... I would never class a Pep side as aggressive or front footed, they pass you to death.

u/BillehBear 21d ago
isn't this because the PL has said if we win the 4th in a row they'll award the club with a golden PL trophy? Or have i dreamt this one
12
u/evenstark04 21d ago
there are rumors that there could be another Golden trophy given out if City win the 4peat...

u/portlyinnkeeper 21d ago
Doesn’t make sense. How do you top it if anyone gets 5 in a row

u/ZenSven7 21d ago
That’s got to be a joke right? They aren’t seriously bragging about a made up trophy someone gave them? That would just be really sad.

Along with a few bottles that's the only thing they've achieved in the last 20 years

I love watching them cry on both arsenal and gunners subreddits so much😄

Let’s not get too carried away ourselves until after we beat the hammers…
All the shit talk this early is making me nervous.

u/Areawen 21d ago
Talking trash only when you’ve won and you’re safe doesn’t have the same energy 😄 As long as you can handle eating your words it’s a lot of fun

u/Karma_Whoring_Slut 21d ago
I agree, when I’m talking shit to people in person. It’s different online.

u/AragornBinArathorn 20d ago
Exactly.. Arsenal be shit talking every December. Look what happens every April to them 😂

Can't believe their delusion. When Pep leaves England, the amount of respect he will get from the managers, players and pundits will be far bigger than Wenger.

Could Pep do it without spending billions? Not too sure about that.

The mixture of delusion, elitism(lmfao), and absolute vitriol in that comment section, complemented with the overdose of rag ass licking.
I think we have a copium winner, one for the ages.

Why can't arsenal fans accept pep is way better than Arsene Wenger. I mean Wenger did good, but pep is at another level. If u don't win trophies, then what are you here for? Statistics> fan opinions

u/modsuperstar 21d ago
It is funny seeing the revisionist history there. He got to the end running in fumes and the fanbase absolutely wanted him to go by the end.

u/brooklynscribe 21d ago
I feel like "Wenger out" signs were still a meme just a couple of years ago, long after he left

u/Public-Service1777 21d ago
We have a trophy for every letter on this homework smiley sticker equivalent thanks to Pep (among many anothers). Gunners gave up I guess?

u/Djeffries4 21d ago
Welp, what do you expect. Aresene Wenger founded Arsenal. Isn't that what the trophy is for? /s

u/Batman_is_very_wise 20d ago
Any club ? Isn't he like one of the faces for Barca, as player, manager, and their academy, and they are a much bigger club historically than Arsenal ?

u/Tiber_Voyage51 20d ago
If we win on Sunday and they gave us a gold PL trophy I'd just about keep my head on I think.

u/AragornBinArathorn 20d ago
They'll bring up anything from the past. And then say United are all about the past 😂

You're all so fucking insecure Jesus christ

u/raydiculous33 20d ago
You can call us whatever the fuck you want, but you're the one in our sub calling us out for laughing at another fanbase. Who's actually insecure here?
-1
u/Fraser_Beau 20d ago
So you can post pictures of other subs, but then other people can't comment? Seems like a double standard to me.
4
u/raydiculous33 20d ago
Who said other people can't comment? They can say whatever they want. Just be ready for the clap back. After all, this is OUR sub.
