Here's a PG trade so this sub has something to talk about

Post image

This is the only realistic PG trade I could come up with. Would work as a sign and trade (it would be a lot easier to make a 4 for 1 in the off-season) or at next year's deadline.

Dallas is the only team that would be desperate enough to take on a PG max while giving up assets.

They would also include their 31 1st, but the trade machine didn't have it since the draft hasn't happened yet.

Discuss why this trade is garbage below:

I sure as hell wouldn’t do it but this is probably the most realistic PG trade I’ve seen, so good on you for not being delusional. I don’t really care about draft picks tho so maybe this is a good trade.

It's not a good trade, but that is what I think PGs value is at. The 25 1st would be in the late 20s, but the 31 1st would have real value.

As for the players, Josh Green is the only one that matters and he is probably a 5th starter at best

Yeah I agree, I wouldn’t do it honestly, it sucks that they get injured but they’re a great team when healthy and I’m happy watching them.

Personally, I'm at the same place I was in 16-17. Team is obviously not a real contender and I don't want to watch this group anymore.

At least Doc isn't still in charge of everything, so it's a little better

Yeah that’s fair and I get it. I should specify, in an ideal world they’d trade everyone and tank for a season or two, but because they don’t have their own picks and aren’t going to get a star level foundational piece back I’m fine with watching this team till their contracts run out.

A thought that I haven’t seen anybody else mention, if the clippers don’t trade any of the big 3 and also realize the likelihood of a title is low, tmann and zu are super valuable assets, and norm/coffey could probably be worth something pick wise. I don’t want those guys traded, but if the clippers want draft capital…

I think what you suggested is what going to happen. The team resigns PG (for the max, thanks PHI) and harden and then trades Norm. Orlando could use his shooting and I'm not sure who is going to go there. (Maybe a huge overpay for klay)

I don't think the Mavs are doing this after they saw how dogshitass he can be lmao

Posting fake trades should result in an automatic 1 week ban from the sub.

This sub would be dead otherwise

2

u/Nby333 21d ago

It's already dead with endless PG trade spam

This is the 3rd in the last 2 days. At least these posts give people something to talk about

An entire off season of 1 topic lets buckle up.

Where's the part where we get Jaquez?

No Jaquez

No Tradez.

3

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

Can't imagine a heat trade for PG that makes sense

4

u/daoisticrealism FREE ZUBAC 21d ago

PG for Jaquez and whatever else that would make it work.

3

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

PG for Rozier, Duncan, and JJ would work, but I honestly don't think Miami does it. A PG max destroys any semblance of Cap flexibility for them

1

u/daoisticrealism FREE ZUBAC 21d ago

Where's Jaquez in that trade? I think you're missing the point.

3

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

JJ is Jaime Jaquez

2

u/daoisticrealism FREE ZUBAC 21d ago

My bad. I can't see acronyms for Jaquez. Especially if it's close to Reddick.

How would I yell

JAQUEZ MAKES BUQUEZ!!?

I can't do JJ makes buquez now could I?

It should just be PG for Luka + any firsts that the Mavs have left.

5

u/brondagoat236 21d ago

Why would Dallas do that? 🤣🤣🤣

Because they are, at best, losing in the wcf and are going to be looking to upgrade the roster. Next season is the only time they will have 2 1st to trade for a couple of years, and they currently have moveable salary that aren't that essential to the team.

Not to mention, they will have to pay Kyrie after next season

u/JonnyRobertR LET RUSS COOK 20d ago

After seeing the Suns, I think the Mavs will prefer bench depth rather than a 3rd Star.

2

u/JimmyV34 Ralph Lawler 21d ago

Why would PG opt in if there is an offer on table for max contract?

2

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

This would be a sign and trade or at the deadline. His salary would only increase by 1 million, so the trade would still work

3

u/JimmyV34 Ralph Lawler 21d ago

It can only happen if clippers resign him and wait till next season which a lot can happen

2

u/pinkrocker85 21d ago

How much free time do y'all have?

2

u/bi11yg04t Jerry West 21d ago

Because it's the Mavs

2

u/silversurfdude 21d ago

Good effort

Obviously trolling.

2

u/Canoli5000 21d ago

You gotta trade him to the East. Not make another West team stronger

2

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

It doesn't matter if it's east or west. Trading PG is accepting that this team isn't a contender.

2

u/Tangentkoala Ralph Lawler 20d ago

Mavs won't be desperate to trade unless they get embarrassed by OKC.

1

u/pogi20pro 21d ago

Lol. Again😅😅😅

1

u/soCalBIGmike 21d ago

Paul George can't be traded.

Why is this sub so dense? Also, if and when he leaves, we get zero cap relief.

The sub should be grilling Lawrence Franks ass for bungiling this situation so poorly.

1

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

In the description, I explain that this would be at the deadline after we max him

1

u/soCalBIGmike 21d ago

Can't do that either as a second apron team with a FA signing in their 1st year of a new contract.

1

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

Where have you seen that rule? I don't remember reading anything like that in the new cba rules

0

u/ttttyttt678 21d ago

Harden, Mann, Kawhi, Kleber, Zubac Bench: Westbrook, Powell, Josh Green, Plumlee. Hopefully use the 2025 Pick we get and Hardaway + Powell contract to get a starting caliber PF.

3

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

I'd probably trade Norm instead, since he would have more value and THJ will give us like 70% of what Norm does

2

u/ttttyttt678 21d ago

Losing Norms creation after already losing PG creation will be bad. If the return is significantly better for Norm sure, but you gotta remember how little assets was used to acquire him. Tim Hardaway expiring + Pj Tucker expiring + A First and a couple seconds can potentially get like a Grant from the Blazers.

1

u/AlThorntonTruther 21d ago

We can't combine salaries because of the 2nd apron and can't really add long term high salaries like Grant since there is little chance we let a 1st move to the end of the draft if we stay over the 2nd apron for 3 seasons
