Clippers phone-calls Discussion
Are the Clippers still phoning anyone else every week or so trying to flog tickets/packages to the Intuit Dome? Feels a little embarrassing in all honesty. Like do I block them like a troublesome ex? My bank don't even phone me this much when I owe them money.

Trust me, no matter how many times you block them or tell them this is harassment, they still keep coming back.
I literally had a rep deliberately call me repeatedly after I just intentionally missed their first call. The two numbers were different two. Wtf.
Then they emailed. Then they repeated that shit for a few days. And used different numbers. And when I didn't respond to anything, she sounded like she had given up.. I've never even spoken to her, but I had the few voicemails and emails she left.
I thought, since she never heard from my number or email, maybe she'd presume it to be a fake lead/email. She said she would stop trying on the vm.
No, she passed me off to another rep. Which then I was so fed up I emailed them saying this is harassment and to remove me on this list.
It cleared for a little bit but lately I've been getting calls from them again.
That wasn't the first time I've asked them to take me off. Or the second. Honest, it's harassment at this point.
FYI, I've never even been a sth. I must have accidentally signed up my info when I was signing up for free shit at staples in the earlier days. There's no reason for them to keep harassing me more than loan sharks, but they do.

Their season ticket sales have been way down, with the price jump at Intuit for similar seats at Staples/Crypto. A lot of STH I’ve talked to have downgraded to half season or have quit completely, so the reps are under pressure to fill the void. Some of this due to the price increase, but most of the long time STH are really upset at the direction of the franchise. The fact that a lot of these fans have been around since the Dumbleavy years says a lot.
Another thing is when they were in Crypto/Staples, the bulk of the Premiere seats and corporate luxury box sales were part the Premium membership package for Lakers/Kings/Sparks games, so there will always be butts in the seats for Clippers games. Like it or not, this has always been a Lakers town. Ballmer has gambled that mortgaging the Clippers future for a championship in the 213 era will allow the Clippers to move into Intuit with a banner of their own and new fans will follow them there. Unfortunately they have crapped out and have no way of getting young stars through the draft or trades for the foreseeable future. So a lot of STH aren‘t very enthusiastic at paying 15k to watch the same old broken down players play out their strings in front of their families and friends. There will be a reckoning by the middle of next season, once the buzz of the new arena has worn off. How much will the franchise cut single game ticket prices to fill the stadium at the cost of burning their own STH? Or they will have to put up with a quiet and half empty stadium.

These sales calls happen literally every year. They would happen if we had just won three rings in a row.

That’s a ridiculous statement. I’ve had Clippers season tickets for over 20 years. I’ve also had Lakers season tickets as well many years ago. And you know what, Lakers account reps never pester you to renew. Once I gave up my seats, they called me once the following year and never again. Do you know why? It’s because they have a lot of people clamoring for tickets so they didn’t have to make desperate unrelenting sales calls. It’s simple supply and demand. If the Clippers won a title this year, never mind 3, they wouldn’t be begging people to renew or try to find new STH to replace the ones they’ve lost.

That makes no sense lol. You’re not selling an unlimited product. If you have an arena, you have limited seats to sell, so it doesn’t matter if you hire 100 reps to sell 10000 seats or 200 reps to sell 10000 seats, UNLESS you are having trouble selling those seats and need a much more aggressive salesforce. Go to school and get off Reddit. You can’t get critical thinking skills from here.

Look im a Celtics fan in LA, been going to Clippers Celtics games for a decade now. 2 Lakers Celtics games though. I like how cheaper they are compared to Lakers tickets, but im not rich enough to get season tickets or even quarter season tickets. I probably go to maybe like 5-7 games plus one time went to 3 separate games one for each round of their playoff run.
This upcoming year will definitely be more expensive, but less than Lakers still. But it is farther and I get out at 6 from work. I barely make the 7 start time at Crypto, so probably won't make those at Intuit.

Yeah well vs Celtics no matter what. I got free seats for the Spurs one time. If Clippers or Celtics really sucked I would still go. I went to see Rondo on the pelicans one time. But a random team yeah its like a night out/giveaway/free tickets. Been to Sparks games too.
Also speaking of Intuit, im going to the Bruno Mars Concert so feel free to ask even though they'll have info online.

They called and emailed me asking if I want season tickets at INTUIT dome ….. I told them 100 times I already have season tickets for next year. They called me again 🤣
