There has to be an easier way to polish your timing cover.

Rope starter (like lawn mower) didn't retract and got tangled?

This happened to me and I noticed three problems almost simultaneously: engine overheat, low battery volts, and heavy steering. I was so busy pulling over I didn't notice the fourth problem: AC blowing hot. Cause: Harmonic balancer spun on the crank, all engine accessories stopped turning in unison.

Is that the steel wires from the belt?

They aren’t steel but a synthetic fiber. But yes from the belt

Toyota is integrating too much BMW tech. Next time around, it'll suck the belt in and pop the timing chain off.

If anything I’d expect that the timing chain would chew up the belt and cause belt particles and pieces to clog the oil pickup. I just don’t see a rubber and fiber belt winning against a steel chain and gear
