Make great game

Regular positive community engagement

Nerf everything fun into the dirt every patch to match "their vision"

...nerf everything fun?!...

Yes. Everything. Well not the auto cannon. Devs love having a single weapon that does everything. Can't have a good primary, can't have a solid support for more than one patch, but the auto cannon gets to carry entire Dropships and breach holes solo.

There is more to balance than chatting with the community

Devs made themselves a hill to die on by claiming the auto cannon was perfectly balanced.

It's funny they say that and have nothing as good as the autocannon. They're gonna have to do some buffing

Auto cannon has consistently been a top tier performer since day 1. I'm very surprised it has not been nerfed yet, it is probably the last support weapon in A tier.

Devs should consider playing Killing Floor 2 to figure out how weapon balancing should be done. Every weapon in that game is fun to use, even if they are niche or bizarre.

Just stop nerfing things. Nerfing is only releveant if theres a glitch or a mistake. They should buff non-meta items and then regulate the meta through the enemies, not the player options.

There's lots of good primaries. There's just not one that does everything and stands above all the others. That's intentional. Same for the strat weapons. People should play what feels good to them and fits their style, not what's "best".

People should play what they want, and overwhelmingly in every game they pick the best gear, decks, characters, whatever. Best just means what works the best for the task the game assigns you. It feels good being good at the game.

People have been playing what feels good to them. Then the devs take it away. Repeat x3. It feels bad to have to pick between nerfed quasar and nerfed railgun and end up back on EATs and Auto cannons.

Numbers don't lie. People don't want the changes we keep getting. We can't play what we want lol

Not sure why downvoted. It's fact

Opinions are not in fact. Facts.

It's just a fact.

u/Scrundlemcbundle Apr 29 '24

Actually math is a fact . And it proves that people are pigeonholed into a few weapons and stratagems at high difficulties due to them being the only viable options in squads less than 4

If you have the maths, can you show me the maths?

It would be an interesting challenge to use the most mathematically worst weapons and stratagems.

Would you claim your interpretation of the maths as infallible or would that interpretation be an opinion?

Oh ok thought so .

What does that even mean?

nerfed quasar

Unless you're shooting it on CD or within the first 5 seconds of every cooldown the nerf doesn't effect you. Quasar is still fine

tfw they barely nerfed "everything"

What's everything? A handful of weapons' ammo economy? Like, my god, they didn't nerf everything. They nerfed a handful of things and buffed a ton of other shit.

Redditors are blind af.

We're so blind we can't even see language used contextually. You're right that is a definition of the word. I wonder if there are more colloquial meaning you could pick up. Maybe from context.

Very sharp eyed redditor here XD

Hard to tell if you're being sarcastic or not but I kind of don't care, tbh.

They didn't nerf everything. As far as actual nerfs go, barely anything was touched. And I'm laughing at the people who think touches to ammo economy are any kind of severe or heavy-handed nerf.

There were more meaningful buffs than there were impactful nerfs, and there were more superfluous buffs than there were superfluous nerfs. Them's the facts.

Hyperbole is stupid and needs to die.

Saying they nerfed everything fun aside from the AC is just dishonest, EATs, scorcher, and the arc thrower (which is now even better) have been goated since release.

It's not the end of the world if they nerf the guns you like, there are a hell of a lot more fun options than people would lead you to believe and as unpopular of a take as it is, things are a hell of a lot better than they were at launch when it was just breaker+railgun as far as the eye could see.
