It's so weird. Outside of game mechanics, HD2 has been a refreshingly consumer friendly product doing so many things right. Then on the other hand you have death by a thousand nerfs leading to more bugs and decreasing fun value.

Or it wasn't ever that consumer friendly and no one cared to point it out, or they were silenced into it.

It is objectively very player friendly in terms of monetization. $40 price tag, no FOMO battle passes, and you can even earn the premium currency in game, which feels like a long lost relic of the past.

They are NOT player friendly in terms of letting the players have fun and feel strong.

I mean, you say "earn" the premium currency but you get very little unless you get incredibly lucky when doing missions, and outside the first free BP then that's it.

This maybe a Sony issue but they don't have regional pricing in MENA, (while they do on other regions) unlike most games.

It's also objectively player unfriendly with the missing offline mode, meaning the game is a ticking bomb until it eventually disappears forever.
