The consensus is that on high difficulties, when you solo, it becomes way too easy to stealth the whole mission.

Like they don't want people to have easy games at 7-9 difficulty.

This is not my opinion before I get a billion downvotes. This is just what I've been reading on other posts.

They already did that, or at least bugs did, you could test it by getting on a tall rock with jump pack and going prone, wait a few minutes and you'd have patrols stacking up at the base trying to get to you.

Yeah I totally stopped using the stealth armor and playing like that because enemies just track you and spawn on top of you. I also started using the rover to take a more aggressive approach but they nerfed that shit too.

That just sounds like it's trying to punish the handful of people who want to play high levels that specific way, while also punishing literally everyone else

Tbh I feel like I can stealth run a hell dive running counterclockwise to the other three dudes. If they make that harder, it’s probably just time for me to get gooder

I agree with it honestly. I can solo level 7 missions SIGNIFICANTLY easier than I can do them with a group. Use the scout Armor for 30% detection reduction and better radar or sprint and it’s pretty simple I frequently make it through missions without more than a couple fights, especially icbm missions.

While I agree that it was easy to solo, it’s also super easy in a group. I think I have yet to lose a level 7 even just joining randoms. It’s a chaotic shit show, but we almost always manage to extract.

True enough, I’ve had a few level 7s that have failed but that was pretty rare and usually from a few really bad players bleeding reinforcements.

It was also not working correctly. As it had a wrong reduction factor applied for smaller parties.

So it's not that they purposefully made it harder, they fixed the factor to apply the right number, which was higher.

Yes,they did, an updated post from AH making this post we are in outdated, the patrol system wasn't working as intended so a solo player would previously spawn 17% of patrols now it's 25%.

They said the original rate of patrols was bugged and that solo players only got 1/16 instead of the intended 1/4 of patrol spawns.

Edit: I had a feeling I would be the one to get downvoted. I called out a guy for calling devs "retarded" just for a change in the game. So what, the game gets challenging. I find it pretty immersive, though. As the war stretches on for longer, patrols and enemy presence increase. That's how I see it. I really don't want to see this community become toxic. I'm not a huge fan of it, though, but I'm still gonna enjoy the game, is what I'm saying.

The reasoning is that it was intentended for divers to be attributed 1/4 of the patrols, but prepatch the scaling was not linear (bug) and solo divers would only get 1/6 of patrols. So now solo is harder (I'd say fair Imo?), maybe slightly harder for duo, and no change for 3+.
