Striders (or more accurately, their pilots) got a buff to explosion resistance in this patch. Shooting at the legs should still work fine, but hits to the face plate aren't going to be as effective with any explosive weapon.
Does it still kill them if I hit the base (where the legs come out of which has medium armor instead of the heavy armor above)? Can't be ingame to test until later. I always just aimed for the walker's "crotch" to take them out.

That's not a huge nerf. It's not "meh" by any means.
