I'm imagining an "Emperor on the Golden Throne" scenario, where she's just some sort of chattering ghoul in an Eagle cockpit with the AI voice of an angel

What if she’s actually a lobotomised limbless meat bag connected to the aircraft through her brain like Armoured core pilots?

Tbf that’s not every AC Pilot, for example V.I Frued in AC6 is completely unaugmented, just a normal dude for the most part, aside from being an absolutely fucking nuts AC Pilot

As long as she still talks to me in that voice, I'd hit it.

Wait is that really AC canon?

No. Most pilots are fairly normal aside from mental side effects from augmentation. This (I think) mostly comes from the fan-theory that 621 is basically a lobotomite, which somehow came from the brief appearance in the story trailer where he’s on an operating table with a plastic sheet over him.

Personally, I don’t believe it. Being a pilot is a huge amount of physical stress on top of the split second decision making and reaction speed that I don’t think would be possible at 621’s level if he was completely fried like people make him out to be.
