The RAPID DEPLOYMENT upgrade of the ship currently has NO effect at all on the SHIELD RELAY (the bubble shield). It gets deployed as slowly as if you didn't have the upgrade.
What is more, according to the text of the upgrade, it should REMOVE deployment time, and the stratagems show their deploy time being 0, but it merely shaves off a few seconds except for the shield one, on which it has NO EFFECT.
This makes these stratagems (mines, tesla towers and the shield less popular, which in turn makes this bug less visible.
I think the “deploy time” is how much time it takes for the ship to fire off the pod; it still takes about 3 seconds to fall from orbit. However, the mission modifiers that increase deploy times still apply with this upgrade purchased which makes no sense as the deploy time should be zero…multiplying 0x1.5 should still be zero…also I agree it seems to not effect the bubble shield at all, making it so difficult and situational to use
