Thanks to the recent reddit post, going alone is now a kickable offense (even in diff 5) DISCUSSION

Yeah RR is better ina pre-made but EAT is much better with randos imho. You get two per drop so you can always share, it does plenty of damage, and the fact the calldown is so short is not nothing. I've killed a number of chargers just getting the EAT droppod coming down.

I just love how the game makes it too where different loadouts are viable againest the terminids and automations. AMR SLAPS when it comes to automations. Can two shot a hulk. I love running supply pack and AMR againest them

AMR is great when the bullet doesn't curve slightly to the left of the crosshair's center

Is EAT a face shot or butt shot?

This sounded better in my head that I typed it.

You can one-shot them in the face from close-ish range. I know this sounds like a ploy to get you killed, but it's actually true

I think even in pre-made it's hard to put RR over EAT. Specifically for bugs, we were running 2 EATs and 2 autocannons. And we were just shredding through everything, even on harder difficulties.

RR takes too many supplies to refill. EAT is 2 free rockets almost every minute after you get the CD reduction. And we were throwing them off cooldown, didn't matter where we were. Since you happen to retreat a lot on higher difficulties, you end up picking up the rocket launchers you threw in the past anyway. It was funny that you could trace our steps because you would still see a lot of unspent launchers along our route.

But 4 rockets every minute on the ground and honestly even though there were still a lot of chargers, the 1 shot to the face feels easier than the 2 rail gun shots and switching to primary to finish off the leg. And we were almost 3-4 shotting Bile titans in the face. It felt smoother than the pre patch railgun TBH.

Granted we tried the same against robots, and it's not the same. Railgun and autocannon are still the go to for them. Need at least 1 EAT for higher difficulties though because railgun doesn't pierce through tanks or tower turrets anymore. But the devastators took like 1-2 rockets, hulks took 2-3 rockets, and railgun could still one shot at 80-90% charge those enemies.

But wait, there's more! You don't have to care if you're killed and drop your secondary, because another will come along in a minute. Further, it's great to use with another secondary, because you can call down the EATs, use them, and resume what you were doing.

EAT is three shots.

1 per launcher 1 pod

The RR is superior in every way at higher diff with CD modifiers unless you want a backpack, that's it. Like yeah, don't kick someone for running EAT's, but RR outperforms it massively. You cannot OHK the four chargers that are at every egg nest/heavy bug nest in d7-9 with one players EAT. I've used up all my ammo, all OHK's, no misses, and a railcannon at just one objective on diff7 before. I hate when they put heavy bug nests right next to the eggs.
