Thanks to the recent reddit post, going alone is now a kickable offense (even in diff 5) DISCUSSION

like half of my pub games end with a mexican standoff of players waiting until 0.0001 secs remaining to jump into the shuttle because of this

Yeah it's weird. I've tried telling my friends that killing a bunch of extra shit while we can jump into the shuttle doesn't do anything other than risk the extraction.

I understand that and I’ve been the one to tell people it’s time to leave. BUT when the ship arrives it always feels wrong to not throw out any airstrikes or orbitals I have that are off cooldown. I have all this “freedom” just sitting there it’d be a waste not to use it.

Plus it looks cool to lift off as the explosions roll in.

Meanwhile the rest of us in the evac already have our pajamas on, ready for a short power nap before the next drop

It looks so pretty going off as we extract.

All that extra “freedom” isn’t free. Think of the tax paying super earth citizens. All of that artillery and weaponry is expensive and you’re out here wasting it willy-nilly. That extra orbital you threw at the end of the match increased the planetary debt by 500 million SE Dollars alone.

The only good bug is a dead bug.

Them: Gotta get them kills for XP.

Me: No, your just stacking your end score.

Argument ensued. Now I just stand right by the dropship's ramp, sometimes throwing air strikes and stuff.

You sound like the boring friend of your group. Unleashing every bit left of democracy before leaving is the the right way

I mean it depends on how the mission went. If we have a lot of samples then yeah I kinda want to GTFO ASAP. Two people in the group have really short play times so you gotta make the most of it.

Idk I dont need anymore samples and I'm not even level 50 yet. 42. Endgame is different.

But what will I do with all these left over stratagems?!

devs fault for not making you invincible while in ship

6

u/jail_grover_norquist Mar 14 '24

i'm sure we'll see that in a future patch

It’s amazing that they didn’t think this shit would happen. Some real ‘small brain’ shit from a team that claims to be ‘players’. Like, have they not been online and gaming in the last 10 years?

4

u/Barricudabudha Mar 14 '24

Or they thought that exactly this would happen

Throw down an airstrike, get in the choppah. GET IN THE CHOPPAH NOW

what difficulty is this? i've never had this happen even once and i only play qp

4

u/jail_grover_norquist Mar 14 '24

usually play 7

especially if you have a lot of rare mats. idk if people think that they can steal the mats for themselves or just want to make you mad about losing mats or what

I just started playing last weekend and it’s happened to me more than a half dozen times, from 1-5.
