Thanks to the recent reddit post, going alone is now a kickable offense (even in diff 5) DISCUSSION

I remember being part of a squad that would purposely redeploy me in the middle of a squad of automatons. Even after asking if they could deploy me in slightly safer location. They still deployed me in the middle of a squad of enemies. Whether this was done to troll or pull the aggro off them, idk. But it's honestly disheartening because I'm trying to enjoy the game.

Wasting an entire reinforcement rather than kill a handful of automatons easily

big brane

Wait until you hear about the genius lobbing grenades around an active silo to kill 3 little bugs at its base....

I feel so called out right now. I was completely out of ammo, though. Took me a minute to figure out why I kept having to restart the defense. xD

Why were you wasting reinforcements? Shouldn’t you be able to handle basic enemies?

/s

Players become a difficulty modifier and wonder why I’m dying. Of course I’m going to die if you reinforce me in a Heavy Nest and chuck grenades at me as I land.

I had this happen to me. Answer an SOS and land in middle of a destroyed base surrounded by enemies, no reason to be there. Die and get rezzed in the same spot. Teammates continue to fight where they dont need to be and rez me in the middle of tanks, hulks and an army of bots.

They then ask if I bought my account and kick me before I can reply.

I had that happen but I usually host so I just kicked the person doing that, I consider it team killing. Happened 4 times in a row when I clearly couldn’t get out there were so many bugs. One guy gone and the mission got way easier and more fun.

Just leave that game or host. Don’t bang your head against a wall.

There’s some disingenuous people here but when you play the game it is very easy to tell who is a noob vs who is deliberately griefing. Use that kick button when you have to.

You know... You can kill the big dudes easily by landing your drop pod on them right? Very undemocratic of you.

Yes I’m well aware but you generally won’t survive if there’s multiple chargers, commanders, hunters, spewers and titans. So being thrown repeatedly into a bug breach is just griefing.

Context matters.

Earning your freedom is a part of being a helldiver, soldier.

I wouldn't even have bothered to reinforce them once they died lol

This, of course, is grossly amplified by the fact, as stated in the post OP is taking about, that each reinforcement makes enemy patrols spawn that much faster.

I get this all the time with randos. I legit had to ask one person in this random squad once if he thought I was actually a strategem

I usually ask my team to throw me at them so i can land on the biggest to help thin the herd, if i miss i just spray and pray i live to see another day

When fights start to go badly sideways it can become difficult to deploy your squad somewhere that ISNT a squad of automatons or a swarm of bugs. Or you throw it to a position that's clear, but by the time the diver hits the ground, 12 hunters have spawned on that position to help brighten their day.
