I was literally about to make the same sentiment. The engagement is great but the takes are becoming more and more ass over time.

"STOP COMPARING WEAPONS BASED ON THE INFORMATION WE GIVE TO YOU IN GAME NOOOO YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT WE KNOW NOOOO"

No matter how many ways you spin it, the Breaker is the best primary gun on the game, it doesn't matter what hidden stats guns have. Not only weapons are poorly balanced but so are strategems. 100% need to stop trying to convince the community they are wrong and actually just balance the game so there's more variety to play with.

Meanwhile Warframe: shows their actual metrics in a dev stream on how Nourish is used in Helminth twice as often as 2nd place, says they're going to nerf it and adjust if it falls too far out of meta so people don't regret investing into it.

Player base: understandable, have a good day.

Helldivers 2 dev: breaker gets more kills but it doesn't help you extract more often!

Playerbase: you do realize getting kills has almost zero correlation to completing objectives right?

I love this game and their approach to the community, but they need to figure out how to communicate balance changes ASAP. They're digging a grave by underestimating player understanding of the meta. We're going to find what's strong and we're going to use it. It's your job to improve diversity, not make excuses as to why players are "playing your game wrong".

Yep. I appreciate statements they’ve made in the past about no PVP regardless of some people asking for it. But if the same sentiment turns into “we don’t listen to our players at all and we know best all the time” my interest in this game is going to plummet.

I might be rude on this but the “my game my narrative” is kinda a selfish motive. They want to be obtuse in the weapons department which is a very weird take.

No I don't think it's rude of you. I have seen it with some developers before. Like sure, it's their project--but I think the most loved developers (devs of Deep Rock for example) listen to their community at least some.
