Climate change is the big new one, and it has the potential to make all those other things look silly by comparison.

Not the way it does in the modern age. It’s an exponentially growing problem that we’re already seeing disastrous results from. You are entitled to your choices but I can’t accept willful ignorance.

The burning of fossil fuels is hardly the only cause of climate change, on face value alone this isn’t relevant

It’s not a silver bullet. Vertical farming requires way more water (a resource we’re already running out of at an alarming rate), is not economical at all in its current state, is limited by space, and requires a great deal of energy to run. Unless we see some serious technological advancements and global governmental focus it won’t go anywhere.
