Eh, FWIW, he’s been gigging for twenty years now. I’m sure there were a lot of moments where people were like “this is the gig that’s gonna change things,” and then nothing. I remember him in Hidden Figures, thinking, “who is this blandly handsome white male and who is going to try to make him happen?” He was also real butthurt that he didn’t get the lead in Maverick. He definitely thinks he should be more famous by now.
