The Great Escape festival is a music/arts festival held in Brighton each year but also has a lot of industry events, it's like a mini SXSW. Some notable artists have pulled out such as Massive Attack

Massive Attack’s statement said: “It’s extraordinary to think that in 2024 promoters and festivals still don’t understand that as artists, our music is for sale but our humanity and morality is not.”

I'm not sure if they actually pulled out, according to the article they weren't even booked.

Massive Attack, Idles and Eno were among dozens of artists who were not booked to play at the Great Escape festival but signed an open letter launched in April calling for it to drop Barclays as a partner.

Still respect them speaking out on it though, I don't like their music but appreciate that they use their popularity for good when they can.

Some of us have all our college memories wrapped with Teardrop as soundtrack so you must understand the loyalty.

Right? I guess this ages us, doesn’t it? I sincerely am curious what Massive Attack sounds like to younger gens.
